Jousting is hard enough as it is, add rain into the mix and it's even harder. Slippery lances, slippery targets, slippery ground, less light, less vision, but for photography I love it!

The finals were extremely close, but only a few dropped points separated the finalists, with only four points between first and last!
The Chivalry Award one to Marie.

It's that time of the year again! We're getting ready to document the awesome joust week at Arundel Castle, running from Tuesday to the finals on Sunday.

One of the recurring questions is about how the joust is scored, so here's a convenient video about the basics. Extra points can be awarded for sufficient lance breakage and horsemanship.
