We had a super fun morning at Westfield Doncaster checking out Kmarts Colour Block Pop-Up ✨

Located just outside Kmart this activation is open to everyone so you can check out the latest in Kmart beauty with free make-up sessions available daily from 12pm to 4pm (come past and pop your name down for a session) - the perfect opportunity to trial Kmart’s newest beauty products 🙌🏼🩷

Our MUA Gaby was just gorgeous, so knowledgeable about the products + she was so kind with Stella who is very makeup curious! She kept her face naturally glowy + kept telling her she had gorgeous natural features so she doesn’t actually need any makeup - what a great role model!

In addition to beauty, the pop-up showcases the latest in women’s clothing and activewear - how nice are the sneakers and only $20 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Open until 4pm Sunday - all visitors will be treated to a free OXX Kmart Lipstick and can go in the draw for a $500 Kmart voucher (T&Cs apply).

Can I also add what a gorgeous Westfield Doncaster is! We had never been there before and I was super impressed! So many great stores and food court👌🏼☕️

Thanks for having us Kmart!

Due to popular demand… 😂😅 These two nut bags, like any tweens, are obsessed with unboxing videos and so when Kmart Australia recently sent their new OXX cosmetic range for me to review, I knew it just had to be the girls that filmed 😂👏🏼👏🏼 Enjoy!

24/07/2024

Did you know Kmart has dropped prices even lower on hundreds of items store-wide (yes, even lower than they already are!) 🙌🏼✨

To celebrate, they generously gifted me a $150 voucher to shop these amazing deals and donate the items to a charity close to my heart 🩷

Hazel and I filled our trolley with socks, jocks, hair ties, pencils, backpacks, lip gloss, hair brushes, and face washes, all ready to donate to the incredible local charity Mums Supporting Families in Need Inc , who support families in crisis by proving baby items, clothing, toys, toiletries, food hampers + more.

Thank you Kmart Australia for helping me give back to this wonderful cause!

Super fun albeit wet day with Nana at Healesville Sanctuary 🍃 Brollies and coats packed… hindsight, should have probably packed the wellie boots but runners in the washing machine it is!

Just over an hours drive from Frankston (Nana and I were very tempted to stop in at Domain Chandon along the way 😅🥂) Nana was free thanks to her zoo membership, the girls were free for school hols and my adult ticket was $46 ✨

Highlights were definitely the Tassie devils (plus learning about their amazing conservation/breeding programs) the Animal Hospital where the girls played for ages as pretend vets and the Bird Show which was both clever and interactive 🦅

We packed snacks and stopped at 7/11 on the way for sandwhiches and sushi but we did grab an icecream/cold drink in the cafe before the bird show.

Puppy dog eyes also sucked me into parting with $10 each in the gift shop which resulted in two new plastic koala tumblers for the drive home 🙈🐨

Don’t let the weather put you off… as my mum says, there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong choice of clothes 😁☔️

Let’s talk multicookers. We have owned our Russell Hobbs 11-in-1 Multicooker for almost a year now and along with my air fryer, it is absolutely one of my favourite appliances that is used weekly 🙌🏼🍃

The Multicooker really takes away that need for multiple appliances (saving you cupboard space!) as it slow cooks, rice cooks and pressure cooks making even the cheapest piece of meat a melt in your mouth masterpiece!

Fantastic for winter cooking and fantastic for cooking on a budget which I’m sure we can all appreciate right now! 👏🏼👏🏼

I also love that the pressure cooker function allows me to have a “slow cooked” meal on the table in just 50mins which is perfect for those busy after school sports nights when I have forgotten to put the slow cooker on during the day 🍜

I’ve made soups, curries, pulled pork sliders... today I am going to share with you an Australian family favourite, the ever delicious (and nostalgic!) Golden Syrup Dumplings, a perfect warming mid-week treat ready in less than 15 mins!

R E C I P E ✨ Golden Syrup Dumplings
2 cups self-raising flour
120g butter (softened, diced)
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 lemon (grated zest)
150g brown sugar
8 tbsp golden syrup
100g butter
2 cups water

✨ Rub butter into flour to consistency of breadcrumbs.

✨ Whisk eggs and milk together in a separate bowl.

✨ Make dumpling batter by mixing flour and egg mixtures, together with lemon zest.
Bring sugar, golden syrup and butter to simmer in the 11-in1 Multicooker. Add water.

✨ Cover hands in flour then roll the dough mixture into golf ball size dumplings.

✨ Gently drop in dumplings trying to keep them away from each other.

✨ Close and lock the Multicooker then set to Manual and 5 mins.

✨ Once cooked, quick release the pressure.
Serve with vanilla ice-cream and drizzle over the remaining sauce.

Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions about the Multicooker in the comments and head over to my stories to see me make a beautiful Beef Ragu!

Available from Big W and Amazon just to name a few!

We had a truly magical night at The Briars for Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience. If you are a HP fan then this is an absolute must see! 🪄

The walk through the experience takes approx 70mins at a nice walking pace stopping to have a go at the interactive spell displays + take lots of photos! 📸

The sounds, lighting and projections are honestly so so clever and really immerse you into the full HP experience.

✨ Sessions run from 5:30pm to 9:30pm most nights of the week. We attended the 7:30pm session and didn’t find the crowds overwhelming at all.

✨ The path is compact gravel so pram and wheel chair friendly.

✨ Plenty of carparking available (you can book this online at the same time as your tickets)

✨ Food & beverage options available. Quite expensive to have a full meal but the hot chocolates are absolutely delicous!

✨ There are toilets at the start of the walk (in the food court area) + drinking taps to fill up bottles. There is also toilets and beverages available to purchase approix 1/2 way around the walk.

✨ It’s VERY loud - if you have a child that is sensitive to loud noises I highly recommend packing their headphones.

✨ There are some frightening parts. Hazel wasn’t a fan of the dementors, hearing Voldermorts voice & the spiders.

On until mid July, this is a one off experience that was in Singapore before coming to Melbourne. Tickets are on the higher side but honestly, it was really like nothing we have ever experienced and a true HP fan will really appreciate the detail that has gone into each scene 🍃

Any questions let me know in the comments :)👇🏼

Thanks so much for having us team, an unforgettable family night out x

Uluṟu Day 2 ~ Up early for Field of Light by artist Bruce Munro. This was supposed to be a temporary installation but due to it’s popularity it’s been extended indefinitely - and thank goodness! Incredible! 🙌🏼✨

The lights (50,000 of them!) took 4 weeks to install and cover an area equivalent to 7 footy fields! We arrived in pitch darkness and again, just blown away by the amount of stars in the night sky.

As we walked the sun slowly started to rise over the horizon (legit welling up recalling this moment) and it’s only then we realised we were in the presence of Uluṟu standing in the distance 🥹🍃

Just the most special morning, the colours the sky turned as we walked were just nothing like we have ever experienced. You can book this tour either for sunrise or sunset with dinner options available. The sunrise though just felt extra special.

We then drove to Uluṟu for a guided Mala walk. This 1.5 hour walk is free to join, leaving from the Mala carpark at 8.00 am (October – April) and 10.00 am (May – Sept).

It’s a leisurely 1.5 hour walk around the base of Uluṟu through to Kantju Gorge. Our guide was so knowledgeable telling the stories of the Aṉangu people with such diligence and respect.

Up next on our incredible NT experience… Uluṟ from above! Oh my goodness literally pinch me! This was a true bucket list moment. A 15min flight, was incredible to see the vast open landscape and truly made us appreciate why people refer to Uluru as the heart of Australia 🚁❤️

This particular tour is $195pp but there are different flight paths and longer tours available. All include transfers from the resort.

It was then back to Sails to preview a beautiful Australian Native High Tea, a new experience at Sails launching in August. Sweet and savoury treats + an amazing selection of indigenous tea from ☕️✨

This experience is $75 for adults and $45 for children, it doesn’t matter if you’re not staying at Sails, anyone can book and enjoy. We both loved it and felt very special as we sipped our hibiscus flower sparkling – oooh la la!

More adventures to come… 🌿

Virgin Australia

09/06/2024

Incredibly fortunate to have been invited to explore Uluṟu with the team from Virgin Australia who are now flying direct to Uluṟu from both Melbourne and Brisbane making this bucket list destination more accessible than ever with flights starting at just $119 one way.

After a beautiful pre flight welcome (including entertainment from the talented Mitch Tambo) we boarded the Virgin Australia’s inaugural flight from Melbourne to Uluru which is a comfortable 3.5 hour long journey.

You can hire a car on your arrival to Uluṟu or you can catch the courtesy bus to Ayers Rock Resort which is just a 10min drive away. (Note, do your research as to whether or not you need to hire a car. The bus from the airport to your accommodation is free + all of your tours will include coach transfers).

We're staying at Sails in the Desert within the Ayers Rock Resort, which offers 6 different accommodation options, from luxurious to family-friendly to dorm rooms.

Regardless of where you stay, you are welcome to dine in any of the onsite restaurants and bars. The resort is huge! But there is a courtesy shuttle bus which run every 20mins so you can hop on and explore all the resort has to offer including restaurants, a pub, the Town Square, gallery and a little IGA supermarket.

Uluṟu Night 1 ~ Virgin Australia welcome dinner & drinks at Wintjiri Wiru, meaning 'beautiful view out to the horizon' in the local Pitjantjatjara language.

Wintjiri is a breathtaking cultural storytelling experience that brings to life a chapter of the ancestral Mala story through 1,100 choreographed drones, lasers and projections that illuminate the night sky. The show has been developed in partnership with senior Anangu - the Traditional Owners of these lands.

Starting with sunset cocktails and canapés on the decking, this is truly a ‘pinch me’ experience with Uluṟu literally changing colours before your eyes as the sun sets and then the Wintjiri Wiru drone show begins.

Voyages offer different tour options for Wintjiri Wiṟu ~

🌞Wintjiri Wiṟu Sunset Dinner - Includes Australian native inspired cocktails and canapés on arrival, Australian wine throughout the evening + gourmet dinner hamper (this tour departs 1.5 hours before sunset so you get to experience the full colour change of the sky over Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa)

✨Wintjiri Wiru Twilight - Includes Australian wines + a cheese and dessert hamper (this is perfect if you plan to have a late lunch or perhaps dinner at the resort)

🌙Wintijiri After Dark - Includes Australian wines + a cheese and dessert hamper (this is a later show, perfect if you’re trying to squeeze more into your stay!)

All options include transfers.

Wintjiri Wiṟu is truly I describe and my videos do not do it justice. The traditional story telling through the most incredible drone show we have ever seen, this was truly a once in a life time experience.

Tip: Rug up! The drop in temperature once the sun sets is significant! We wore puffer jackets, beanies and gloves.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to leave them in the comments below.

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s adventures…

Virgin Australia

Wintjiri Wiṟu Acknowledgment - As custodians of the land, Anangu hold the Mala story from Kaltukatjara to Uluru. To share their story, RAMUS designed and produced an artistic platform using drones, light and sound to create an immersive storytelling experience.

The team at have challenged me to make an affordable mid-week meal that can be served up in less than 30mins using Campbell's Real Stock 🍲

I’ve decided on a creamy chicken risoni with peas and mushrooms - it has a beautiful risotto-like consistency but is ready in half the time and honestly, so so delicious! 👌🏼🍄‍🟫🫛

R E C I P E ✨ Creamy Chicken Risoni with Mushrooms & Peas

2 tbsp oil
200g button mushrooms
500g chicken thighs
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 cup risoni
2 cups Campbell’s Real Stock Chicken
250ml cream
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup grated parmesan
S&P

✨ Thinly slice the mushrooms and cut the chicken into 2cm pieces.

✨ In a heavy-based pan, heat 1 tbsp of oil and a small k**b of butter (if you have some). Add the mushrooms, season with a little salt, and cook until they are coloured and softened. Remove from the pan.

✨ Add another tablespoon of oil to the pan. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until browned.

✨ Stir in the garlic, oregano, thyme, and paprika to coat the chicken.

✨ Add the dijon mustard, cream, risoni, peas, and Campbell's Chicken Stock. Stir to mix, then bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes until the risoni is cooked and the sauce thickens.

✨ Stir every few minutes to prevent sticking.

✨ Turn off the heat, stir in the parmesan, and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve with extra parmesan and garlic bread.

A Real Easy Dinner coming in at under $5 per serve* thanks to Campbell’s Real Stock - so good!

*priced at Woolworths
