OXX review
Due to popular demand… 😂😅 These two nut bags, like any tweens, are obsessed with unboxing videos and so when Kmart Australia recently sent their new OXX cosmetic range for me to review, I knew it just had to be the girls that filmed 😂👏🏼👏🏼 Enjoy! #giftedforreview
Donating to Mums Supporting Families in Need
Did you know Kmart has dropped prices even lower on hundreds of items store-wide (yes, even lower than they already are!) 🙌🏼✨
To celebrate, they generously gifted me a $150 voucher to shop these amazing deals and donate the items to a charity close to my heart 🩷
Hazel and I filled our trolley with socks, jocks, hair ties, pencils, backpacks, lip gloss, hair brushes, and face washes, all ready to donate to the incredible local charity Mums Supporting Families in Need Inc , who support families in crisis by proving baby items, clothing, toys, toiletries, food hampers + more.
Thank you Kmart Australia for helping me give back to this wonderful cause!

Had to try the viral Microwave Toastie Maker from @kmartaus {$15} Heats the microwave safe plates up to 200 degrees and yes…. It was TOASTIE! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Available in blue, green, black and pink - winner for a 3min tasty sanga 👍🏼 Is quite warm to touch so best used under supervision if you’re a kid… What’s your go to toastie? Gold Syrup Dumplings
Let’s talk multicookers. We have owned our Russell Hobbs 11-in-1 Multicooker for almost a year now and along with my air fryer, it is absolutely one of my favourite appliances that is used weekly 🙌🏼🍃
The Multicooker really takes away that need for multiple appliances (saving you cupboard space!) as it slow cooks, rice cooks and pressure cooks making even the cheapest piece of meat a melt in your mouth masterpiece!
Fantastic for winter cooking and fantastic for cooking on a budget which I’m sure we can all appreciate right now! 👏🏼👏🏼
I also love that the pressure cooker function allows me to have a “slow cooked” meal on the table in just 50mins which is perfect for those busy after school sports nights when I have forgotten to put the slow cooker on during the day 🍜
I’ve made soups, curries, pulled pork sliders... today I am going to share with you an Australian family favourite, the ever delicious (and nostalgic!) Golden Syrup Dumplings, a perfect warming mid-week treat ready in less than 15 mins!
R E C I P E ✨ Golden Syrup Dumplings
2 cups self-raising flour
120g butter (softened, diced)
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 lemon (grated zest)
150g brown sugar
8 tbsp golden syrup
100g butter
2 cups water
✨ Rub butter into flour to consistency of breadcrumbs.
✨ Whisk eggs and milk together in a separate bowl.
✨ Make dumpling batter by mixing flour and egg mixtures, together with lemon zest.
Bring sugar, golden syrup and butter to simmer in the 11-in1 Multicooker. Add water.
✨ Cover hands in flour then roll the dough mixture into golf ball size dumplings.
✨ Gently drop in dumplings trying to keep them away from each other.
✨ Close and lock the Multicooker then set to Manual and 5 mins.
✨ Once cooked, quick release the pressure.
Serve with vanilla ice-cream and drizzle over the remaining sauce.
Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions about the Multicooker in the comments and head over to my stories to see me make a b
It’s a fine balance of communication 😅
It’s the age old question… just what shall we do with the left over apple sauce?! 😂🍎 Seriously though! We always buy a huge jar of apple sauce for our pulled pork sliders and end up having 3/4 of the jar left over! So a quick google for ideas later and say hello to these super easy muffins… perfect for little human lunch boxes👌🏼✨R E C I P E ✨ Apple Sauce & Cinnamon Muffins 1 & 1/4 cups SR Flour 2/3 cups brown sugar (firmly packed)1 tsp cinnamon 1 egg 1/3 cup olive oil 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt 1/2 cup apple sauce 1 tsp vanilla extract Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling (make your own if you don’t have any) ✨ Turn oven to 180 degrees and line a 12 hole muffin tin with patty cases. ✨ Mix all your dry ingredients together in a big bowl, SR flour, sugar & cinnamon making a “well” in the middle for your wet ingredients, set aside. ✨ In another bowl or jug whisk together the egg, olive oil, Greek yoghurt, apple sauce and vanilla extract. ✨ Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and gently fold together (don’t over mix, it will make your muffs tough!)✨ Once combined, use an icecream scoop (if you have one!) and scoop the mixture into your patty cases then sprinkle each muffin with a little extra cinnamon sugar.✨ Bake for approx 16mins or until the muffins are golden brown and an inserted skewer comes out clean. Enjoy! 🍃
Instagram can be such a delightful rabbit warren of insightful, funny, inspiring and in this case, absolutely drool worthy videos! 🤤🙌🏼 Saw these on @recipesbyvictoria ‘s page and I just had to try! We love these on a Saturday morning when you sort of can be bothered making breakfast but also sort of can’t be bothered 😂🥓🍳 R E C I P E ✨Crunchy Gem Breakfast Bites • Potato Gems, approx 60 (5 in each hole) • Tasty cheese • 100g bacon • 4 x eggs • 2 x spring onions • Sour cream • S&P to taste ✨Pop your oven on 200 degrees then grab yourself a muffin/cupcake try. Place 5 x potato gems into each hole. ✨ Bake until the gems are nice and golden and soft. When at this stage, grab a small glass or measuring cup and gently push down on the gems to make a cup/bowl shape. ✨ Sprinkle some grated cheese into each hole. Whisk your eggs together with some S&P and then pour the egg into each hole.✨ Top the egg mixture with some chopped up bacon then place back into the oven until golden and cooked through. ✨ Allow to cool slightly before removing the Breakfast Bites from the tray. Top with some spring onions and sour cream. Enjoy! 🍃
Uluṟu Day 3 - Our last activity at Uluṟu and if I’m honest probably one of my favourites! A self guided bike ride around the entire base with bikes hired from @outbackcycling 🚲✨The team recommends you set aside 3 hours for the ride (it’s approx 15km return) so you can take your time, have plenty of rests and explore the magnificent surroundings. We packed a back pack with sunscreen, fly repellant , water and fruit + I wore a hat under my helmet to keep the sun off. Parts of the ride are shaded but majority is not. As mentioned, it was unseasonably “cold” when we visited with highs of just 18-19 degrees. This meant pretty much zero flies but I’ve been told this is rare so I would also recommend wearing/packing a fly net for your face! 🌿 We set off at 11am with minimal stops due to needing to be back for the bus but I think the full 3 hours would be the best way to manage your time. There are toilets at the start of the ride and also approximately 1/3 of the way around. Hire is $70 if you make your own way to Uluṟu or $119 for a return hotel transfer. Kids are cheaper. Honestly such a must do! We both really enjoyed this ride so much and found the ride so interesting and peaceful. And with that (+ a sore bum and quads!) our time in Uluṟu has come to an end! 🥹🍃 We would like to acknowledge and thank the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara people, the Traditional Landowners of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park for welcoming us to their land and also a huge thank you to @virginaustralia @exploreuluru and @ntaustralia for hosting us on this incredible trip.If Uuṟu is on your bucket list, check out Virgin Australias flight deals and pop it on your to do list instead! Just the best, best experience and perfect for a 2-3 night getaway with a loved one 🙌🏼❤️Any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Uluru Day 1 ✨
Incredibly fortunate to have been invited to explore Uluṟu with the team from Virgin Australia who are now flying direct to Uluṟu from both Melbourne and Brisbane making this bucket list destination more accessible than ever with flights starting at just $119 one way.
After a beautiful pre flight welcome (including entertainment from the talented Mitch Tambo) we boarded the Virgin Australia’s inaugural flight from Melbourne to Uluru which is a comfortable 3.5 hour long journey.
You can hire a car on your arrival to Uluṟu or you can catch the courtesy bus to Ayers Rock Resort which is just a 10min drive away. (Note, do your research as to whether or not you need to hire a car. The bus from the airport to your accommodation is free + all of your tours will include coach transfers).
We're staying at Sails in the Desert within the Ayers Rock Resort, which offers 6 different accommodation options, from luxurious to family-friendly to dorm rooms.
Regardless of where you stay, you are welcome to dine in any of the onsite restaurants and bars. The resort is huge! But there is a courtesy shuttle bus which run every 20mins so you can hop on and explore all the resort has to offer including restaurants, a pub, the Town Square, gallery and a little IGA supermarket.
Uluṟu Night 1 ~ Virgin Australia welcome dinner & drinks at Wintjiri Wiru, meaning 'beautiful view out to the horizon' in the local Pitjantjatjara language.
Wintjiri is a breathtaking cultural storytelling experience that brings to life a chapter of the ancestral Mala story through 1,100 choreographed drones, lasers and projections that illuminate the night sky. The show has been developed in partnership with senior Anangu - the Traditional Owners of these lands.
Starting with sunset cocktails and canapés on the decking, this is truly a ‘pinch me’ experience with Uluṟu literally changing colours before your eyes as the sun sets and then the Wintjiri Wiru drone show begins.
