UptownSlg reveals he doesn’t own the masters to his biggest albums, back in 2018 Uptown Slg inked a deal with UK label head with a 40/60 split for 10 years today albums like Hits Only which is 3x’s platinum, or Don’t Get Scared Now which is 2x’s platinum has made millions in revenue for Imperial but say’s he made a little over 100k$ thus far from those 5 albums and he has little control until the deal is fulfilled in 2028 & SLG Global LLC - Souljaland Gang will own 100% of the masters. Bill Coroso (A&R) at Imperial Marketing says “Uptown made way more money than what’s on paper, trust me”- says Bill Coroso, 30,000$ advance upfront plus 50,000$ when SD4 was completed which fulfilled the deal, That’s 80k plus 40% of all sales streaming only” now remember everybody has to be paid it’s a team effort on our end getting our artist discovered we dedicated well over 500,000$ on Uptown’s projects alone, he’s the star of our label!

UptownSlg breaks silence on says “That’s my brother I got genuine love for dude, I can’t really speak on certain things but we’re cool”, VeneyV’s debut album ‘Super Villain was scheduled to drop back in September but ultimately didn’t for unforeseen reasons fans speculate some sort of beef ensued between the SLG camp and with no one from SLG appearing on Uptown’s latest album ‘Premonitions it rang true to fans. VeneyV’s “I Miss You” record an ode to his late brother was making waves over the net and became a hit in a matter of days, Rowdy West - Mgmt/A&R who was managing VeneyV at the time said “his sudden hiatus put the album in limbo we loss money on marketing and promo this is a business at the end of the day”. With Uptown’s recent sentiments to VeneyV maybe we can see ‘ in the near future 🤞🏻! 🌊

{Review} “Premonitions” by UptownSlg happens to be his 10th studio album and is already on pace to become the fastest selling feat in his catalog with his recently released hits (“Get You Back” & “Premonitions”) automatically making the album at 120k streams as of (11/3/23 ) which is technically still day 1 shattering the recent projections of 40-45k streams. The intro track ‘Live by, Die by brings listeners into the eerie reality most minorities face in neighborhoods across America and is definitely one of the most prolific moments of the 37 min body of work. Premonitions to us is speaking things into existence or forseeing things before they happen in all it’s an awesome body of work, boasting only one feature on ‘The SLG Administration (Spitta Badnews) no one from SLG appeared on the album, according to Rowdy West - Mgmt/A&R who is (Co-CEO and Manager) SLG Global LLC - Souljaland Gang says some records didn’t make the album because of sample issues & we wanted to top his last project ‘Smokin Sessions 2 which dropped in 21’ nearly 2 years ago. [Breaking News] After a nearly year long hiatus rapper UptownSlg is dropping his long awaited (So Disrespectful: KingOfAbbeville 5) album. Today his team SLG Global LLC - Souljaland Gang unveiled the official cover art to which features 14 blue diamonds making a 5 for the 5th and final installment to the series. 2020’s “SD4” is now double platinum eligible according to Chart Data compiled by Nielsen Music, the album had no features and is considered a classic amongst Uptown fans today and we agree.
