Tonight marks the seventh round of the NXTGEN Racing Touring Car Championship (NXTCC) Season 2 as hosted on iRacing!

In the penultimate round of the season, the paddock returns to the European continent for Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Opened in 1997, Germany’s fourth permanent race circuit is no stranger to hosting touring cars having previously played host to the World Touring Car Championship from 2005 to 2011. At its core is a fast-flowing sequence of 14 corners with limited elevation changes over the lap. In turn, this presents a relentless challenge to our drivers where they shall need to master every corner in order to do well!

In the PRO class, another set of strong performances from Mikey Doble at Watkins Glen last week has seen him extend his advantage to 147 points over Adam Delmont. Doble is expected to take the championship with a round to spare tonight should he score 15 points or more. Will it be as straightforward as the maths suggests? Or could there yet be a late twist in the tale?

In the PRO-AM class, despite fierce competition from his rivals last time out, Mathew Addy has increased his championship lead to 47 points over the pursuing trio of Alain McKane; Reece Watt; and Joseph Doble. Conversely, McKane finds himself in second place for the first time this season and faces a stark challenge: Can he reel Addy in and fend off both Watt and Doble in the process?

How shall it go down in Germany as we near the season finale? Tune in and find out!
