The Black Fund, a signature partnership of and Black Central Texans, exists to unleash the power of Black-led organizations and uplift solutions to benefit the Black community. Driven by data and community voices, The Black Fund strives for an equitable, just society that nurtures the growth, economic security, and wellness of Black people.
The unrestricted, general operating grants will be distributed to the following nonprofits:

Let’s be clear… Martin Luther King Jr. message and mission have been masked, weaponized and curtailed to fit a continued narrative of oppression. His words have been tossed around with intent to perpetuate the ideal of what obedient Black people should look and act like. MLK Jr. was indeed a fighter, who cut straight up the middle. Austin ISD's interim Superintendent Anthony Mays is leaving the district for a permanent position in the Houston area. The Alief ISD board of trustees has announced that Mays is the lone finalist to be the next superintendent of the district, which is located in Southwest Harris County.
