This Volvo is an Ontario legend, with most of the modifications completed pre 2003.

The 1JZ motor and transmission found its way into the car care of a mechanic in Halton Hills who suggested it over a V8 swap. The Chrysler 300c headlights and flipped Mercedes taillights were later added to replace the failing factory units.

All metal, the wide body design drew inspiration from the e30 m3. The kit was built around the HRE wheels and upon completion the bodyman moved back to Trinidad. Paint is a Dodge paint code.

Originally running a piggyback set up as of last year he's gone stand alone. For the last 20 years the car had been spotted all over Ontario but it lives in Durham Region.

After all these years it was nice to talk to the owner and get the run down!

@harse_autocraft carbon bodied Ampia GTA-001 was a crowd favorite at @motoramashow.
