Listen carefully. That was the only self-imposed dogma when I started working on this production over a year ago. We wanted to take a contemporary
African perspective to address the questions and problems surrounding looted cultural assets. So I tried to translate what I heard in all the interviews we conducted, in the conversations with our fantastic performers with all the emotions that have been expressed, into a visual storytelling. Otherwise I would not have been able to justify my participation. This was not easy but the most wonderful experience. I can hardly express how grateful I am. Through this approach I gained much more for myself personally, which goes far beyond historical understanding. No one will be able to take this experience and this awareness away from me. I hope this production will continue to tour widely and I hope that we will be able to convert this piece into a film format one day.

Thank you incredible people and thank you to everyone who watched the piece. We still have a show today!!

First 3 shooting days for REPARATION NATION with Bradley Iyamu from and Lars Frühsorge.
REPARATION NATION is a research, film and performance project (Premiere: 26.09.2024, Kampnagel Hamburg) created in collaboration with African artists (Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Nigeria, Namibia) as well as BIPoC members of the Diaspora, that interrogates the complex topic of restitution of African cultural assets. Moving from the academic spheres of discourse towards an artistic space of story-telling and narrative-based discoveries, REPARATION NATION  riotously subverts the formats of exhibition and performance  in a compelling, multidisciplinary, dance-negotiated debate.

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich mit und .vanelly ein Musikvideo für gedreht. Noch nie habe ich zuvor ein musikvideo produziert für Musik, die für Kinder gemacht wurde. Das war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis, die Fantasie von Kindern anzuregen, als auch bestenfalls den Eltern etwas schönes präsentieren zu können. Auserdem war es meine erdte Erfahrung mit 4:3. Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Der Song heißt "So Vermisst". Schaut es euch auf Youtube an und vor allem geht zu den Konzerten mit euren Kids. Am 3.12. Spielt die Band in Hamburg in der fabrik. Meine Tochter wird da auf jeden Fall am Rad drehen.

Ein Film, den wir dieses Jahr produziert haben. Plan F hat weit mehr im Blick als Otto. Z.b. den Thomas-Kreislauf uvm. Wichtige Themen, die immer noch stark vernachlässigt werden. Nehmt euch ein paar Minuten und schaut es euch an.

Wir waren mit I-Fire unterwegs auf dem Summerjam Festival. Nicht nur für dieses Video. Wir haben auch auf dem Reggae Jam Festival gefilmt und weiteren Tourdates für ein neues Musikvideo. Morgen spielt die Truppe in Hamburg in der Lola!

Ein weiteres Musikvideo für die Band Danube's Banks aus Hamburg. Dies war ein wahrhaft besonderes Abenteuer. Dank Tom Sawyer Tours waren wir zwei Tage mit den Floßbooten auf der mecklenburgischen Seenplatte unterwegs und haben vor allem zum sonnenauf- und Untergang gefilmt. Eine kleine Dystopie passend zum song. Gefällt es euch?
