Grammar is the foundation and the architecture of any language. A Namibian Grammar Trip intends to give the reader a clearer understanding of the foundation and architecture of English Grammar. However, it’s done in a unique way in this book. While the book covers the most important Grammar concepts (from words to subject-verb agreement, tenses, punctuation, active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech, figurative language, idioms and proverbs to mention a few), it does so in a narrative way. What does that mean? It means the book also has a little ‘story’ inside; it is a narrative of four friends who are travelling through Namibia. And on the trip, they encounter different people and visit different places, see different trees and plants, rivers and birds, etc. This story is told in different ways, either in brief descriptions, or in the explanations of concepts, examples, activities and answers. So, this book has two strong features: Grammar and Namibia. The book provides concept explanations, exercises and answers. It can be used by anyone who wants to improve their English Grammar, by teachers and by learners ranging from Grade 9 to grade 11 as the book is based on the syllabus of the new Namibian curriculum.
