Hello! This show is near and dear to me, as I'm talking to some of the best people I know about one of my favorite things in the world. I'm joined in the studio by Kilgore Geekend performers Loretta Callens, Chris Ferguson, Amy Pruitt (and her daughter Paisley), Rosaleen McGinnis, and Jax and Grayson from Jericho March. Geekend's owner Rick Custer and producer Erin "A-Aron" McGinnis round out the crew for a little longer-than-usual show where we talk about playing at Geekend, why we do it, and music and events in general. Enjoyment of Irish music isn't just for the Irish and Americans…it's everywhere! There is an awesome band from the Ukraine that loves Irish music so much, it's what they do!

Or what they did. With the current situation in the Ukraine, Jolly's can't play gigs, or even work their regular jobs. Like so many Ukrainian nationals, they are struggling, and could use a hand!

Cool Vendor coming to Kilgore Geekend!

While we might not rock all night (some of us are old and tired, after all), we are ready to party all day the weekend of May 7-8, and we are happy to have Scott Gillispie with us!

Normally a collector rather than a vendor, Scott is cutting down his vast collection of KISS merch, including hats, figures, records, comics, photos, and multiple autographed pieces and other merch. Much of this collection has been acquired and preserved for decades, and includes many rare items.

WE'RE BACK! After a LOOOOONG hiatus, we have a new episode for you! This one is especially near and dear to me because I'm interveiwing my sweet friend, one of my favorite people alive, Amy Pruitt. Amy is an incredibly talented singer and a wonderful person, and very passionate about making the arts available for children.

Amy will be appearing in Broadway at the View, a musical r***e this weekend, which is a fundraiser for the ArtsView Children's Theatre, a local theatrical group for children and teens that teaches not only singing and acting, but every aspect of theatrical production. This interview is unscripted and mostly unedited, and the first we've ever recorded on-site, in Amy's home, with a few adorable feline and canine assistants and supervisors helping and overseeing our work.
