🍂 Reflecting on Gratitude and Growth This Thanksgiving 🍂

This past weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada, and as I spent time in nature with my family, I was brought to reflect on the winding path that has brought me to where I am today, personally and professionally.

After being a bit quiet here on LinkedIn, I feel this is the right moment to talk about obstacles, turning points, and express my gratitude for everything that has shaped my journey.

In a recent conversation with Jonathan Adler on Episode 272 of Beyond the Thesis, we explored the concept of contamination and redemption sequences—how we narrate our personal stories and transform challenges into growth.

This idea resonated with me deeply. It’s about how, over time, we can look back at the difficult moments and see them as essential steps in our journey—building blocks that have made us who we are today.

Picture the tree I saw during our trek this weekend.
🌳 In its youth, the sapling faced a massive boulder—perhaps an obstacle, or perhaps support during a vulnerable time.
Over time, it leaned on that boulder, grew new roots, and found its strength. Now, it stands tall, grounded, and healthy, having used the obstacle to its advantage.

The same applies to your career transition. If you’re contemplating a pivot after years on a particular path, it can feel like an insurmountable wall. You might question your choices, or even feel regret for time wasted.

But trust me—all your past experiences can be reframed as essential steps toward your future success. The skills, resilience, and lessons you’ve gained will become the foundation of what you build next.

Like the tree, what lies ahead for you isn’t reliant on the details of your last job—it’s grounded in the transferable skills and growth you’ve accumulated.
So, today, my message to you is simple:

✨ Be thankful for the obstacles you've overcome.
✨ Trust that they were preparing you for your best work and your best life.
✨ Start writing your new chapter knowing you're on solid ground

⏩ Future You will need great colleagues!
♻️ Repost to start the butterfly effect! 🐛🦋

🌟 Just shared an incredible episode from the Beyond the Thesis with Papa PhD vault – my inspiring Season 4 conversation with Christopher Emdin ! 🌟

During one of the most dynamic interviews of the podcast, Chris and I delve into the world of inclusive STEM education, drawing from his groundbreaking insights and his book, "STEM, STEAM, Make, Dream."

Continuez à rêver grand, à explorer de nouvelles perspectives et à naviguer votre propre chemin ! ✨🧠🌌
