Saddened to hear of the passing of Steve Harley of Cocky Rebel fame . I interviewed Steve in 2012 on my radio show on 3MDR 97.1 FM. It was a fun interview, one of my best. He then invited me to join him on Rockwiz, in the green room no less. Lovely fellow. Think I had far too many sherbets and was introduced to many of the Rockwiz crew. Awesome night

3MDR 97.1FM The 80/20 rule 7am till 9am

Join me from 7am tomorrow morning and listen to great new tracks from the likes of Katy Steele, Noel Gallagher High Flying Birds, RVG, Off Judy, Okay Dane, The Superjesus, Cedarsmoke and many more.

Then at 8:15am I speak with the great man, Steve Ronson Pinkerton - drummer from Dallas Crane among many other things. However this time we are going to chat about The Ronson Hangup. It’s been a long time between drinks for these guys, 4 years in fact. The Ronson Hangup is a super group made up of Steve, Dave Mudie (Canon, Courtney Barnett), Ashley Naylor - Official (Even, the Church), Luke Thomas (The Pictures) and Erica Menting. The band came out of a shared admiration for Mick Ronson, the legendary guitarist from David Bowie’s band, The Spiders From Mars.

And as a little teaser to the main event, Steve and Ashley will be doing their Nayls & P***o, they play "whatever they goddamn want - with overtones of 60's and 70's.” Quote, unquote.
Should be fun, will be fun.
