They are still wearing the green & gold jersey (even if they do look like summer pajamas) so I’ll still be supporting them, but I’ll tell you one thing… I’ve never seen an Aussie Basketball community be in so much agreement about Matisse being left off the squad.

I don’t know who Brian thinks is guarding the opponents best player, but I hope the farewell tour was worth not getting a medal?

I used to day dream as a kid growing up that one day when the legends pass away, their spirits get to play in endless pickup games, on a warm summer afternoon.

Greats vs greats, no matter the era, just a moment in time born out of everyone’s love of the game.

I really wanted to meet Bill Russell and now that ‘one day’ will have to be on the sideline of a street court no one will ever know, of a pickup game no news outlet will ever cover.

Look out boys, you gained a giant on heavens playground today.
