Who is JESUS CHRIST to you?
DAY FOUR reflections 💬

JESUS - He is forgiving, gracious and merciful. Think about how far we've gone in life and yet He runs after us as The Good Shepherd who ran after that one sheep that went astray and would willingly die in its place. He desires for us to be rescued, to be redeemed and to walk in the kind of life that He's purposed for us from the very beginning. Oftentimes we don't see that His plans for us are perfect until we get to the other side. But if we remind ourselves that He is trustworthy in all of His promises, we can be at peace that when He calls and drives us to Himself, it's nothing but for OUR best. And who would be so passionate to run after someone who purposefully ran away from His perfect love other than Jesus?

JESUS is PERFECT yet He ran after (imperfect) us.
JESUS is gracious, merciful & kind.
Such a Good Shepherd so undeserved.
JESUS is the TRUE REASON for this season.
Let's fix our eyes on Him as we celebrate His birth.

DAY THREE reflections 💬

JESUS - He is the great provider. He meets our daily needs and He takes care of even the things that we didn't know we need. He provides strength and endurance for every situation we face. He provides us solutions to our problems and gives us joy and peace in spite of all the not so good things that this life brings. He showers us with blessings and surprises us from time to time with His undeserved generosity. He blesses us with family and friends that we can count on. He's given us these things and more. God's greatest provision to mankind is Jesus Christ Himself. The very gift that our souls need to be rescued from eternal damnation. His love is the greatest provision one could ever receive in this life. He's given Himself for your sake, will you receive His love?

JESUS is our perfect provision.
JESUS is truly the reason for this season.

DAY TWO reflections 💬

JESUS - He's our very best friend. No one cares for us and loves us the way He does. His love does not tolerate nor rejoice in the wrong. It desires not just what is good but the HIGHEST GOOD for us. He is perfect in the way He plans and does things there's no need for us to doubt. Sometimes we act like we know better, but no one else knows better than GOD. His love for us transcends the highest capability of any human to love. That great love brought us Christ, in a lowly manger. He went THAT LOW for you and me, so that He can be our bestest friend who can relate & sympathize with us on all our highs and lows and can love on us on a level we never even deserve.

JESUS is the REASON for the season.

DAY ONE reflections 💬

Jesus - there's just so much to be grateful for about Him. If there's anything or anyone that did nothing for us but good, that's Him. We may not always see it because He gets blamed for even the troubles that we've created for ourselves, but from the very beginning God has always wanted nothing but the best for us.

In just a few days we're going to be celebrating Christmas as a remembrance of Christ's birth. May our hearts be aligned with who He is and what He's done for us more than gifts, parties and all the fun that comes with it.

JESUS is THE REASON for the season.

Taking my time off from all online bible study efforts for the rest of the year to give myself more quiet time and focus with the Lord. I need it as much as you all do. Super tiring day today but super thankful to God na kinaya lahat ng online bible sharings and conversations in spite of asthma attacks 🥹🙏🏼 before i go to sleep i just want to encourage you that if there's anything that's weighing your mind and causing you to worry so much, to give it all to God. Talk to Him. Tell Him everything you want to say kase in the first place He already knows what's in your mind din naman eh 🥹 but He'd want you to talk to Him. So vent it all away to God and ask Him for peace of mind, clarity and guidance. He loves each of His children. He will hear you out and carry you through.

When Jesus told the disciples about the upcoming betrayal and His death, they were greatly troubled about the future. They felt like they were losing direction. They didn't know how to move forward with things knowing that He'll no longer be with them. But here, Jesus strengthens them and gives them an assurance that in spite of His absence, someone will walk with them, minister to them, teach them and remind them of all that He has taught them and that is the Holy Spirit.

The same is true for us who are believers and followers of Christ. We are given a guide that's more powerful than mere human compass. We are sealed with something much greater than what conscience can do. This seal is our identity in the presence of the Father. So whenever we feel afraid or worried about the future, let's remember this truth: We are never alone in walking the life He has called us for as we abide in Him. All thanks to the Holy Spirit who is our constant guide.

"I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you." - John‬ ‭14‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Trivia: I could be eating at your café or restaurant or visiting your store and talk about my experience.

Hint: I look very normal and simple you won't even notice me ☺️🫣

No one probably cares but I do. Being a physically sensitive person i can't just eat or try out things without needing to make sure they'll be good for me. I'd also never recommend a place if i didn't truly like it. That's why I'm always on the lookout for places I can enjoy minus the trouble.

I've noticed this a lot in our restaurants & businesses here in the Philippines. Most of them don't care as much as they should to give us value for our money. They don't take their reputation seriously either, it seems.

Whenever i try out a place, I always make sure to give proper feedback and credit where it's due. This is my way of encouraging businesses in our country to want to do better. I know they can do better and we deserve better as well.

With all the things happening in the world right now and the future things to come, as believers, we should be greatly comforted knowing that all of these things do not come off as a surprise to GOD. Jesus had already spoken about it with His disciples and the Scripture clearly shows this. This is another reason for us to not neglect our Bibles and yet again, another proof that the Scriptures are true.

JESUS SPEAKS ABOUT THE FUTURE: “Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?” Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. We all grow weary at some point no matter how strong we may feel like we are at anything. We are all limited after all. But thanks be to God that He is perfect in His strength and in every way. We don't have to fight through the hurdles with our own limited capacity. We can trust in Him and His unfailing abilities to carry us through when our strength is failing. He has promised us that when we can't carry on, He will. When we're tired and weary, He will lift us up. When we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, and all the threats that surround us, we won't have to fear because GOD is perfectly reliable in every way.

Instead of placing our hopes on the unceratin possibilities of a better future circumstance, let us place it on GOD. He holds the world in the palm of His hands and He NEVER lies, nor fails, nor does He grow weary. He's worthy of our trust and more.

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Time flies! We're already at the first day of the last month of the year 2023. Could you believe it? I'm guessing that at some point this year you might have felt like you weren't gonna make it through. But look at where you are now? You're here. You've survived. You're thriving and it's all by the grace of God.

Knowing this, may we all the more be drawn closer to Christ and see His matchless worth. He is all we ever need in this life. He deserves our utmost priority and our heartfelt obedience. Above all the blessings and the good that comes with being intimate in our relationship with Him, He is the One true GOD. The beginning and the end. The author and finisher of everything in existence and He is worthy of our full devotion.

Nothing and no one else can heal us better than the very One who created and intricately designed us. We can resort to all kinds of self-help, tap on the idea of self-love and all other man-made solutions that will always end up failing us and waste our time and energy.

Brokenness doesn't end with temporal solutions. Healing doesn't come from short-sighted, self-centered and worldly ways that are doomed to fail in the first place. We need to FULLY SURRENDER to GOD and in humility ask Him, "God, I'm tired. Please take this pain away. Help me. I can't do it on my own. Change me from the inside out. Make me your very own. Show yourself worthy and enough for me. Help me to see You for who You truly are. I submit myself and all my burdens to You in Jesus' name, amen."

“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them all by name. How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!” Psalms‬ ‭147‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The second coming or the return of Christ will no longer be about Him saving people but rather judging the world and establishing His kingdom. It will be a day of rejoicing for those who belong to Him but the start to eternal gloom and doom for those who are not His. While we wait for that day to come, let's take this opportunity to grow in our relationship with Him. Let's make every effort to invest ourselves in His purposes for us and grow in our faith, trust and obedience. As Jesus says, only those who endure till the very end will make it. And the only way to endure is to persevere and be intentional with our walk with Christ.

“For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our natural response to things that are out of our control or troublesome is to worry. But God teaches us many times in His Word that the first course of action for every believer, regardless the circumstance is to come to God in prayer and submission. Our words don't have to sound perfect to be able to do this. God sees our heart, hears our thoughts and understands us deeper than even ourselves can. Our prayers can be as easy as talking to a friend. And when our words aren't there, when all we have are tears and emotions of anger, hurt or resentment, take heart because God still listens. He is a God who can sympathize with us. He hears and understands groanings too deep for words.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. The fruit of the Spirit is in other words the evidence of true and genuine faith in Jesus Christ. It proves the presence of the Holy Spirit in a person because it is what enables someone, who is a child of God, to carry out the good works God has called him or her to do. The Holy Spirit is the seal placed upon every believer signifying that they are now God's own.

So, those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, who have surrendered and entrusted their lives to Him are no longer a slave to their sinful nature. They are equipped with the ability to wrestle, fight against and overcome the sinful tendencies of their flesh and the temptations of the enemy. And their good works are no longer for the sake of self-glory but is now honored by God and carried out for His glory.

Have I surrendered my life to Him?
If not, when? If yes, is it evident?

God's people, as recipients of His grace and mercy, experience the joy of the Lord firsthand through the relationship established with Jesus Christ. As His children, we're meant to reflect the joy of being close to our heavenly Father.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to CHOOSE JOY and this serves as an evidence of the genuineness of our relationship with Him. It doesn't mean we won't feel negative emotions, but our joy shines through, especially in tough times, overshadowing our moments of sadness. And this is true joy - not something that is fleeting. It is the kind that is founded on the truth about WHO GOD IS.

When we FOCUS ON HIM, our joy becomes real and God will enable us to experience His peace which surpasses all understanding.

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! Our holiness is the evidence of the presence of the Holy Spirit in us. Although we're still growing spiritually, the Holy Spirit helps us resist our selfish desires and enable us to make choices that honor God. He offers us a way to escape from temptations and gives us strength to endure trials when we trust in Him.

As Christians representing Christ, we're called to live in a holy way. This means standing against the devil, who tries to harm our relationship with God and each other, and against our own selfish desires that oppose the Holy Spirit. Following Christ means being ready to give up anything causing us to sin, not literally removing body parts, but showing how seriously we should reject and oppose sin and refuse to continue on that path.

“If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭29‬-‭30‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We don't need to wait until we fall apart for us to fall on our knees and surrender to God. Every moment is an opportunity to submit ourselves to His perfect will and nature. Life may remain troublesome regardless but which would we rather choose? A troublesome life with God's hand in it or a troublesome life without Him?

A life in submission to God even when we suffer loss, hardships, pain and sickness is more substantial than a life spent on useless, temporal and soul-rotting things.

(Side note: substantial is not even enough a word!)

Life is precious and we have a soul.
Let us not waste it 🤗✨

Having FAITH in GOD is what counts; not mere head knowledge or simply acknowledging that He exists ✨

Faith = Relationship

No one is too sinful for change or too far for God to reach but it takes humility to recognize that we are lost and that we need Jesus Christ and His saving grace.

“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Praising comes easy in the good times just as being joyful does. But what if situations are consistently trying us? What if our circumstances are trying to make us feel as if God doesn't care?

Whenever we're faced with difficult circumstances and we're tempted to think of God in a bad light, it's good to recall all the good things He has done for us and His unfailing nature - that He is good, He is perfect, He will always do what's best for us and that He loves us beyond imagination. We need to take captive of our thoughts and bring it to submission to the truth of WHO HE IS. We need to fight against the whispers of the enemy who only seeks to steal, kill and destroy us and our relationship with our Maker.

The fight for righteousness is not an easy battle but it is worth fighting for and made possible when we humbly yield to the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. So let's let our heart rejoice in the Lord our Savior no matter what we're going through. Let us not forget His lovingkindness. Let us soak ourselves in all that He is so that there will be no room for resentment, anger and deception. God is most pleased in those whose hearts trust in Him and that trust is most proven true when present in difficult times.

Whenever we encounter trials and temptations, rather than feeling immediately defeated, let us remember this: These experiences are meant to strengthen, grow, and mature every believer. They are not intended to make us fall apart or lead us to sin against God. Similar to gold, which emerges pure when tested by fire, believers are refined through hardships and tests to become more like Christ, as long as we respond to these situations correctly. Choose your response wisely for the glory of God and for your soul's joy.

It's so easy to forget this because we only see what's in front of us. But let's not forget, the spiritual realm is as real as the physical world. The enemy is constantly working hard to steal, kill and destory those who are of God round the clock. We need to arm ourselves with God's Word and constant prayer and to never be confident in our own strength but trust in His 🙏🏼

The world often encourages us to follow our hearts, but God's word cautions us about its tendencies for deceit. The heart, as designed by God, isn't intended to serve as our sole guide. While it possesses various emotions that allow us to act in ways that please Him, it must always be subject to the authority of God's wisdom and truth. It requires taming. We are called to examine its motives carefully and honestly evaluate if it's guiding us in the light of God's Word or not. Trusting God involves surrendering our former selves, allowing Him to transform us from the bo***ge of our fleshly nature to individuals characterized by self-control and vigilance, empowered by His Holy Spirit.

For everyone who needs to read this:

Don't give up. God knows and sees what you're going through. He cares for us regardless of how our circumstances look like. The thing is, He has His own timing. He has His own ways. His plans are higher than the best of our own. Trust Him. Run to Him. Surrender to Him. Don't stop praying. Be still and know that He is God. He will come through and if He doesn't do it the way we want, believe that He has something way better in mind. God makes no mistakes and He is never late. You'll get through this & He will replace your burdens with peace when you trust Him.

In life's uncertain moments, we may find ourselves feeling lost and it can be often for some of us. It's no surprise as none of us has all the answers. Whether you've walked with faith for years or are new to Christianity, it's important to be reminded with this truth; that regardless of how it feels like, we are always under the unwavering guidance of our sovereign, powerful, and infinitely wise God.

Just as God's promise to David endures, it also remains true to our lives as His people. And knowing this truth should remind us that because of Christ, even if sometimes we feel a bit lost, we are always walking a path of hope and purpose.

A thought to ponder: Why are we so willing to invest our hearts into someone who doesn't love us back, or fails at their love for us yet unwilling to do the same for the God who created us, loves us, provides us everything we have and will ever need? It's good to examine our hearts from time to time. A basic truth as simple as this can reveal so much.

For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬

Jesus didn't come to the world for people who had it all together. He didn't come for the "good" ones. He came for people like us who are completely imperfect, a slave to sin and are lost souls. This should bring us the comfort and assurance that we don't have to be perfect or anywhere close to be able to come to Christ. We need to humble ourselves before Him, admit to our mistakes, confess it all to Him with complete honesty and ask Him to forgive and cleanse us and make us new.

No matter how far you think you've gone from being caught up in a sinful life, you are never too far for Him to reach. That hesitation you might have in going to Him may very well be that one step you need to turn your life around. It will be the very salvation of your soul. Times are tough. Don't wait for another day. As the Bible says, "Today is the day of salvation." 💓🙏🏼

Sad news broke yesterday over 💔

Amidst the ongoing conflict, let us come together to offer our heartfelt prayers for the people of Israel. It's times like this that we all the more need to ask the Lord together to bring comfort, strength and hope most especially to those who are affected by this turmoil. Let's pray for peace to be restored but also that even in this chaos, that the people of Israel will submit themselves to God and find refuge in Him.

May our prayers transcend borders and reach those whose hearts are weary and suffering 🙏🏼🙏🏼

To confront the challenges we face in life, our response shouldn't be surrendering to despair but rather entrusting it all to the divine providence of God and choosing to rejoice in the inheritance we have in Him.

Whether confined by illness or facing any adversity, take heart: the Lord is ever watchful and understanding. He acts in alignment with His divine plan, always seeking the best for His beloved. Place your trust in Him, allow your spirit to exult in His salvation, and find serenity in the knowledge that He reigns supreme 🙌🏼💓

How's everyone doing? Sorry for my silent days. I've been hibernating. It's a much needed break over here 🥹💓 somehow at this point i still have a love and hate relationship with social media. I'm still very much tempted to quit it altogether! Anyone else feelin' the same?

Much of what i do online, besides wanting to stay in touch with the people i love is really to maximize the opportunity i have to reach people for the Lord. This is the only thing that's keeping me from disappearing here.

Nonetheless, I will keep on with doing what I do and my reason for being here. So here's a little encouragement for you today ☺️💓

“Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly. Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it. Training is essential for growth even in Christian living. We are no longer slaves to our sinful nature, no longer under the power of our weaknesses. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Psalm 34 is a passage from the Book of Psalms that's often attributed to King David. In these verses he expresses gratitude and praise to God for His deliverance and protection from all that he was fighting up against and struggling with. In spite of all the things that were happening to him, he saw clearly that the hand of God was continually sovereign over him - that He did not abandon him in spite of his failures and pain.

Just like King David, we falter and we face trials of different kinds. But even so, this serves as a reminder for us to not forget to proclaim His goodness, to magnify His ever-sufficient grace and mercy for us and to remain grateful regardless of what our circumstances tells us. God remains good and will always be. Let us choose to turn to Him and run this life with faith knowing that He is true to what He has promised.
