Time Lordz Vol 1' 10 tracks of bass, breaks & beats by Non Compliance
'Event 201' captures the rave spirit with a beat slightly above midtempo. The bleeps evoke memories of the classic 'Made In Two Minutes.' Spoken word Sci Fi samples add a dark edge to this melancholic and evocative roller.
'Break Of Dawn' sets the stage with beauteous strings and flutes that intersect the space between rugged basslines with an excellent flow.
'Skank Out' adds shades of dark to the melody- a warning shot in anticipation of the 3 note bass strikes that rain down like fire to a steady dare it be said 'skanking' beat.
'Sound System Banger' is rich with dub Reggae influences and anthemic chords. Classic Reese bass meshes with the electro bass and siren like rave riffs to a UK garage like rolling break.
The tension builds with 'Feel The Panic' where that vocal sample floats around torrents of saw like bass and the sound of exigency as perfected by The Prodigy. There's a bit of Liam, Leeroy & Maxim in this musical car chase!
'Larger' digs into the oldskool Jungle playback with halftime timestretched breaks while looking ahead vicariously through funky LFOs and a refreshed rave sound via the riffs and gargantuan drops.
On 'Never Die' MC MC repeats the words 'Hardore Will Never Die' and its in that spirit this track growls and snarls with dark venom, bleeps and occasional Landlord riffs to recreate the feel of dancing in dark, smoke filled arenas to the relentless sound of 90s hardcore.
'Bad Man's Pressure' amps up the Ragga tones along with shades of electro then drops a silo of bass into the mix with a turbo charged slice of 140 Jungle just to remind you it never went away!!!
'Laws Of The Jungle' commences with Nookie style piano before leaping into action with fun samples and wobs of doom aplenty! Hear this at a rave and you will soon be skanking with the best of them!
'Dimension Of Sound' raises the tempo for a final blast of swagger featuring samples from the Twilight Zone. A great peak set tune or end of night banger to send the ravers home. For approx 50min you can lose yourself in the spirit of the festival as if the jungle came alive and took you but in reality it was Non Compliance!!
