A publisher of gospel-centered resources for children.
08/03/2024
A list of lesser known gospel-centered children's resources is up on Jonny's 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘶𝘴. There you can find many posts pertaining to biblical theology for greater knowledge of, love for, and joyful obedience to God.
We are excited to link arms with Good Book Mom –as well as other Christian book enthusiasts and publishers– for Christian Book Month. The premise is simple, this April let's be requesting Christian literature in our local libraries! If your home is anything like ours, we're often hauling home a load of library books. How wonderful if our demand for these biblical titles would mean these books find their way into homes everywhere!
Here are some titles we at think you should check out! We divided them into four categories for ease. ☺️

Read this recent review of The Promise of Life. This right here is what it's all about! 🙌🏼
"I was hesitant to buy this book because I couldn’t really find reviews or a readaloud of it, but I went for it… and I was not let down! This is an amazing summary of the whole entire Bible, read through as one solid story (divided into a few different sections) from Adam & Eve to the new heaven & earth! It covers SO much, and even has a scripture index in the back that goes with each page of the book so you can look up more information that helps you interpret some of the illustrations that weren’t directly talked about. The whole thing is easy to read and flows well together. I have a 4 year old, and although I coulddddd read it to her now (probably not all at once, though), I think I’ll save it for when she’s maybe at least 6. But this could even be used for teenagers, or adults, honestly! It’s actually a great way to share the gospel with someone who is familiar with the Bible, but doesn’t really understand the overarching story or the depth of what Jesus did for us."

Hello! It's been months since we've shown up around here and you might not even remember who we are or why you're following us.

Gospel Grown was born simply out of our desire to disciple our own children in the Word of God. We aim to produce ✨God-glorifying✨Christ-centered

Hi there! Long time no post ☺️
It has been a busy start to the summer for us. Most importantly, our newest daughter was born in mid June! And this week we begin our transition as a family of nine from our home in Louisville, KY to Ft. Worth, TX where Jonny will start teaching as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Texas Baptist College - TBC of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in August.
Most of our inventory is packed up and shipped to Texas already but we have kept some accessible for any new orders. Even without being active here on social media, word of mouth has kept the orders coming in and we are so thankful!

Swipe over to meet the faces (and the fam) behind this small independent book publisher. Jonny set out in 2018 to write & publish
• God-glorifying

His wife manages social media, does mail runs, and anything else to help out. The two books you see here were our first projects. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 is a biblical theology of God's Law, showing how Jesus perfectly fulfilled the Law and took the curse we deserve. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘢𝘺 shows how Jesus died according the the scriptures, the message of the prophet Joel. Both of these books and more are on sale for two more days at https://gospelgrown.org/shop/
Be sure to check our IG stories for more about these titles.
We have 6 children of our own and what you'll find here at Gospel Grown stems from our desire to raise our children in the nuture and admonition of the Lord in obedience to his word. Though we publish our own books, we often share other resources we have found helpful in the discipling of our kids and some encouragements to keep on, in faith, the daily plodding of Christian parenting.

At Easter we spend extended time remembering that Jesus "died according to the Scriptures."
It was not a mistake, but God's merciful plan from the very beginning to send His Son to die for sin.
When Paul said Jesus "died according to the Scriptures" he was referring to the Old Testament.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘋𝘢𝘺: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘕𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘑𝘰𝘦𝘭 explains in simple language and stunning pictures how Jesus died according to the message of the prophet Joel.
We've got it on sale for Easter for $15 or you can bundle it with our other illustrated picture book 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 for just $20. Add these to your Easter baskets or shelves today at https://gospelgrown.org/shop/

Now through Easter we are offering our books at a discounted price, bundle + save big.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 ($18) includes:
The Promise of Life – traces the theme of God’s Law through the storyline of Scripture, helping children see their own slavery to Sin and pointing them to the One who can rescue from Sin and give the gift of life to all who trust in Him.
The Promise of Life Teen Study – 28 short studies that progress through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation tracing the theme of God’s Law. Each study contains Scripture reading, questions, and a practical application that calls for faith and obedience. The Promise of Life is ideal for a young person to work through by themselves or as part of a group.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 ($20) includes:
The Promise of Life – (as described above)
The Darkest Day – walks through the message of Joel including how Jesus “died according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor 15:3). Jesus’ death is shown to be a fulfillment of Joel’s message. Jesus died in our place, undergoing the ruin that sin brings so that God would graciously restore his people. Jesus died on that day so his people would not be condemned on that final day.
We write and publish biblically saturated books as tools to help you to teach the children in your lives, but we passionately believe nothing can replace your time reading the actual Word of God with them. Swipe through to read this encouragement from Gospel Grown Media Manager.

✨ FEATURE FRIDAY ✨
This coming Monday, Valentine's Day, we have an opportunity to read a book to a gathering of 50+ homeschooled children. I () knew exactly the book I wanted to read, thanks to this boxed set:
The Courageous Series
by
Dates on our calendars have been captured by cultural narratives and traditions, fueled by marketing and materialism, and emptied of their original significance. I'll confess, I didn't know the true origin of Valentines day until this year. That is why we love The Courageous Series by Voice of the Martyrs that tells the real stories of St. Nicholas, St. Valentine, and St. Patrick, in addition to three biblical characters (Stephen, Thomas, and Paul). Men of conviction and courage, these stories remind children of the cost of following Jesus and stand in stark contrast to the cheap cultural narratives that have replaced them.
Will link to purchasing options in our stories! We hope you're benefiting from our ✨ FEATURE FRIDAY ✨posts. These are some of the real resources we use to have gospel conversations with our own children.

It is so encouraging to hear of the spiritual fruit of our work. Rachel won our books in a giveaway and left this comment on a post of ours this past week. We praise the Lord when we hear stories like these! Thank you for sharing with us .noble15 ❤️

✨FEATURE FRIDAY✨
Last fall we sat down after tucking our our six children to bed and read through this short treasure, a chapter a week. We've been parents for just (almost) nine short years. This book convicted and challenged us, and spurred us to pray for the Spirit's power in our parenting and our children's lives. If you haven't already check out:
Duties of Parents by J.C. Ryle,
This version is from 10ofthoseusa
We all need help with parenting. We've read this blog or tried this method; bought swings, slings, and shiny things; tried these foods and those foods; stumbled over our words; sinned in anger and felt we are losing our sanity. And yet, while we'll openly take marriage advice or career advice, we can often get defensive if someone offers parenting advice. If we know we need help, we ought to look for it in trusted places. J.C. Ryle's book on parenting is tried and true having stood the test of time. Built upon the principles of Scripture, this book with short chapters and practical advice still relevant today is one of the best parenting guides available. You should get it, read it, and pray how you can strive to parent better with the Lord's help.
We shared a weighty quote from the book in our stories today and also we've linked to a free version available online! We hope you are enjoying these ✨ FEATURE FRIDAY ✨ posts, please share them with your friends!

Our Story
Gospel Grown exists to make the Bible come alive for children by producing biblically rich and visually captivating books.
Watching my children grow so quickly and seeing their developing minds search to make sense of this world, I eagerly wanted to seize these years and help them grasp the truths of the Bible. I wanted them to be gripped with the Bible, not as a book of stories, but a book with one story, the greatest and most enthralling story ever told, the true story that culminates in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I wanted them to encounter, enter in, and embrace this story as the only way to make sense of their story.
Gospel Grown was formed to come alongside the Church in this endeavor. We are a publishing house that brings together like-minded and gifted authors, illustrators, and designers to create gospel resources for children.
Jesus said “Let the little children come to me.” The prayerful hope behind all our efforts is that our work may play a role in children coming to Jesus and growing in His likeness.
