This song was mixed as part of the James Dupre - Another Love Song Contest 2024 from ratemymix.com. It was an interesting mix, not being my usual genre and with a lot more going on than first listen might suggest. It was enjoyable to work on and a great learning curve though!

Thanks to Warren Huart at Produce Like A Pro, I recently got to try my hand at remixing the song 'Of This I'm Sure' by Morgan Mallory, and watching original engineer Phil Allen do a comprehensive walk-through on his own mix of the song. It was really interesting to see his process and I tried to implement some new techniques along with my own standard way of working, most notably the 'top down' mixing that he utilises.

I'm very pleased with how this one turned out, it was a great learning curve and really enjoyed the song too which always makes the process much easier!

Really enjoyed working on this remix of a song by Goliath, especially playing around with guitar tones for digital reamping. I've always been a fan of capturing the actual audio from a cab but sims can work great too. Do you have a preference and why?

A lot of respect for Manny Nieto and his ethos of making great sounding recordings without needing all the 'flash' of a fancy studio. Some solid and reliable gear, basic audio treatment in a room, and a good ear will get you a long way! A great video by Produce Like A Pro.

Some years ago I had the pleasure of recording a demo for an excellent new band called Katabasis. I recently went back and remixed and remastered the recording, and am extremely pleased with how it turned out. I especially enjoyed playing with the limiter on the master as an effect.

Even old recordings can be given a new lease on life with an updated mix!
