GOD IS JUST THE SAME TODAY - 2
- God Remains The Same In Holiness
" And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory " - Isaiah 6:3
God is holy.He is sinless. His holiness demands punishment for sin. That was the reason Jesus suffered and died for the sins of the world .He blesses those who fear him and abstain from sin.People who fear God flee from sin ( "escheweth evil ") like Job :
"And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil " ?- Job 1:8.He has mercy on those who fear Him and live holy lives : But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children " - Psalm 103:17.He punishes those who are unholy ( live in sin ) :" And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him " - Gen 38:7.He will cast unholy people into the lake of fire :" But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death " - Rev. 21:8.If you are a sinner or backslider , repent in order to avoid the anger of the holy God.If you are still living in sin ,confess and forsake them now.
