▪️ Music is one of the few activities that involves using all parts of our brain.

▪️ Listening to music, your heart modifies its beats to try to imitate the rhythm of the music you hear.

▪️Did you know that having a song playing in your head all day and not being able to stop it? This phenomenon is known as “music worm”.

▪️Listening to rock or pop our physical endurance can increase by 15%.

▪️When we listen to music, dopamine is released in our brain, just like when you use drugs, have s*x or eat.

▪️Music can help us with our thinking processes and significantly improves the motor areas of our brain.
This is why it is believed that music was created to “help us walk together”.
There is research that shows that what we feel when we listen to a song is very similar to what the rest of the people in the same place are experiencing.
(That's where we make so many friends at gigs!)

▪️Music listened to is stored in different areas of the brain than memories, which is why people with Alzheimer's are able to remember melodies from the past.

▪️Loud music can make us drink more quickly and in less time.
Now we understand why the music is so loud in nightclubs.

▪️A musical instrument can improve verbal communication.

▪️As flowers can grow faster if there is music around them.

▪️The kind of music you like when you're 20 is usually the kind of music you'll like for the rest of your life.
▪️Babies learn the meaning of emotions from music before the meaning of words.
▪️The way we conceive of the world is conditioned by the type of music we listen to. 🎶💜🎶

DDR was deeply saddened by the death of Toby Keith. Many folks say he was the reason they started to listen to country music. He had a whopping 32 #1 singles and sold 40 million albums. 🎶 Please help us celebrate the music of Toby Keith this Thursday, February 8th at 7:30 with an hour long tribute to this amazing singer and songwriter . 🇺🇸❤️
