The Ukiyo Collective Hip-hop produced, performed, and recorded by artist Drew Reininger as Trvest/GVNDAM.. http://Theukiyocollective.bandcamp.com/

Ukiyo (浮世 "Floating World") described the urban lifestyle, especially the pleasure-seeking aspects, of Edo-period Japan (1600–1867). The Floating World culture developed in Yoshiwara, the licensed red-light district of Edo (modern Tokyo), which was the site of many brothels, chash*tsu, and kabuki theaters frequented by Japan's growing middle class. The ukiyo collective is about applying this edo j

apan mentality to our modernized american culture to a multi-medium art collective celebrating different inspiration and creative mentalities; Uniting artists with a common passion. We not only want to showcase the talent of these artists, but also showcase the human experience of people in different regions and a more human aspect of the artist and their process of inspiration.
