Turn around. Don’t drown. Also, your low car can easily stall out in high water; resulting in a rescue or needing a wrecker.

Quite a bit of rain overnight with 5-6 inches falling across the north part of the county. The Pecan Bayou at Cross Cut is up about 12 feet from where it was, and it looks like the lake should officially be full- or will be there shortly.

Lake Brownwood is at 89.3 percent full, and has begun to drop just a tad since it peaked a few days ago.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH UNTIL 5 AM 11:15 UPDATE A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is approaching from West Texas, and should be here in a few hours. Large hail is our biggest concern, but damaging wind could be possible along with a slight tornado possibility. We spent all evening chasing in North Texas, and the tornado potential seemed limited so far. Keep up to date with the NWS San Angelo at https://www.weather.gov/sjt/

The storms for the evening are starting to move into the Brown County Area. The main hazards are going to be strong winds around the 60 MPH mark and half dollar zied hail has been radar indicated. Have multiple ways to receive severe weather updates.

High based storm coming into Cross Plains has some spin, but looks like too many things are working against it to keep it from being able to produce much more than rain.
