This little track is a blend of funk and folk and it’s both sad and hopeful and the same time, which I feel is quite relevant in the current times.

Start selling on - it’s really not that hard and you will get more money to spend on new LPs 🙌

Time to reflect on the passing year and pick the favorites.
This year was very impressive with the sheet amount of powerful albums and really feels like a step forward into the new decade.
I prepared a playlist with 50 of my most-played tracks of 2021 without any genre limitations: it got everything from club bangers to jazzy gems.
As for the albums of the year, here is my top:

Bᵣᵢgᵢₜₜₑ Fₒₙₜₐᵢₙₑ, ₐᵣₑₛₖᵢ ₐᵥₑc ₐᵣₜ ₑₙₛₑₘbₗₑ ₒf Cₕᵢcₐgₒ ‎– Cₒₘₘₑ À ₗₐ ᵣₐdᵢₒ

Collecting records has its’ ups and downs, just like everything else in this world. And the biggest down is when a record arrives damaged. There are 3 main problems that happen:
1. Warping. Happens especially often in hot summers like this year.
2. Sleeve damage. When seller doesn’t remove the disc from the cover. Unpleasant, but usually not as bad as the other cases listed here.
3. Broken record. With good packaging that should never happen. So in this case seller is to blame 100%.
Problem #3 is exactly what happened with this original Brigitte Fontaine & Art Ensemble of Chicago from 1969.
The good thing is when you are buying from Discogs you are protected by both Paypal Buyer Protection and the Discogs rating system. So what I did when this record arrived 4 years ago was: I got in touch with the seller, sent him pictures of the damage to the record and he refunded 100% of the purchase. I got a little lucky, because the split of the disc doesn’t make the record skip and it is actually listenable, although with an unpleasant click. Amazing album nonetheless.

Meshing dreamy, effects-drenched guitars with airy, catchy melodies, LUSH were one of the most prominent shoegaze/dream pop bands of the early '90s. Led by guitarists Miki Berenyi and Emma Anderson, the British band gained a cult following within the British and American undergrounds with its first EPs, yet the group never quite attained the critical respect given to its peers My Bloody Valentine and Ride. Even so, Lush lasted longer than any other of their contemporaries (with the exception of the Boo Radleys), developing sharp pop skills as their career progressed. By the time of their final album, 1996's Lovelife, they had converted themselves into a power pop band with dream pop overtones, which resulted in the greatest chart success of their career. 👟👞𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐳𝐞 and 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐩𝐨𝐩 are the quintessence of 𝟡𝟘’𝕤 guitar music. It’s not just a music style, it’s a pop culture phenomenon, interwined with iconic 90’s movies like those by 𝒢𝓇𝑒𝑔𝑔 𝒜𝓇𝒶𝓀𝒾.🎬
When I return to shoegaze each time it strikes me how relevant it still sounds. 90’s was the last generation of loud noisy guitar music on TV. 🎸📺
In this special I gathered some of the classic well-known bands like 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐋𝐮𝐬𝐡 and 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞 and mixed in some lesser known stuff by the likes of 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐥𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝟓𝟗, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐬, 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐬 and many more.
