10 weeks ago I set out on adventure from the UK to seek out the Jurassic Park filming locations on Kauai & Oahu

I wanted to get pictures of my original Topps JP collectors cards from childhood in these locations. I also did this with my original JP cinema ticket 🎟️ and 35mm film cuttings 🎞️

I have put together a little series of films about this trip, mainly for my memories BUT it would love to share them with other likeminded JP fans.

The first episode is already online if you want to check it out.

For the second episode I would love to include other fans at the beginning.

In the intro I am looking for 10 second clips answering

1. When & where you first saw Jurassic Park

2. The impact it has had on you to this day

Such an iconic location, instantly transported me back to childhood when I visited back in 2019. Winnetka is such a beautiful place,I can see why it has been used in so movies. 🎥🎬🎞️ 🎄 🎅🏻

2 days work in a busy museum and I only paid them with Tesco meal deals! Absolute legends in my mind, only if they’d known back then that we would be working on the film for 5 years and even through a pandemic… gratitude isn’t a big enough word!! 🎥🎬🎟️

The first season of LOST was shot on this beach! I loved that show, I was fortunate enough to visit other LOST locations in Hawaii too. It was so cool to see how they cleverly used so much of the island to recreate scenes that were set in Australia, Europe and more!

When I get the chance I will probably create a LOST filming locations video 🎥🏝️✈️

Kat disappeared and found this container/ cage hidden behind some bushes on Kualoa Ranch. I think it was hidden for a reason, the floor was rotten and it was pretty corroded. Cool find though as it turns out it was the T-Rex container from the Jurassic World movies. 🦖🎥🌴

Jurassic Park was shot mainly on the island of Kauai giving Spielberg a stunning backdrop for the film. I remember 10 year old Scott being immersed in a world like no other thanks to the unique aesthetic Hawaii has to offer, I have dreamt of visiting ever since. Equipped with my original cinema ticket and 35mm film, Kat & I have visited many of the locations in both Kauai & Oahu. This has pushed us both outside of our comfort zones at times requiring technical hikes, climbing, helicopters, 4x4 driving, river crossings, nasty mosquitoes and going into isolated jungle alone. It has gifted me some of the best experiences of my life and I am so thankful to Kat for facing some of her fears to enable us to have this adventure. I hope to put together a short film about the experience soon!

‘Ivan Reitman Way,’ a touching tribute to the late Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman.

I located it on the exterior of the Ghost Corps offices on the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City. I did look in the office windows to see if I could see Jason working on the next film 🕵️‍♂️ 🎥

I was not supposed to take this picture, Kat & I disappeared from our tour group for a quick second.

This is Spielberg’s favourite couch in the Barbra Streisand scoring stage. Spielberg has collaborated with the great John Williams on this very couch many times!

Bites, bumps and bruises have all been worth it for the adventure we have had locating the Jurassic Park film locations. There is a spiritual feeling here on Kauai, one like I have never experienced before 💚🏝️🎥🦖 🦕

30 years ago today to the day I saw Jurassic Park for the first time. Thank you for putting on this event at such an awesome location! It was quite magical watching Jurassic Park (my original 93 ticket in hand) on the Jurassic Coast whilst shooting stars flew overhead!Also I’d like to add that the nachos were particularly yummy!!
