Well look who's back! Yes ladies and gentleman, it's the event you've all been waiting for, it's the return of Don't Laugh But, Bury St Edmund's leading podcast from comedian Kirsty Hudson and author Rebecca Elliott. This week we're talking about the bizarre and debilitating memory loss Kirsty's suffered over the last year and a half. It's good to be back. xx

Hello! So I know we haven’t podcasted in a LOOOOONG time but just wanted to update y’all loyal Don’t Laugh Butters…
M’colleague and sometime lover (contractually I’m obliged to say that) Kirsty has unfortunately been very poorly of late. For the last couple of months she has lost most of her short-term memory and some long-term and has had bouts of extreme confusion and anxiety. Many, many tests and scans later the Drs have ruled out a brain tumour and early on-set dementia, which is obviously fab, but have now diagnosed auto-immune encephalitis, essentially a brain infection/inflammation.
Today she has gone in to Addenbrooke’s hospital for a week to undergo a plasma exchange, in the hope that by replacing the plasma in her blood, which holds the antibodies that are driving the infection, the infection will buggar off. All our fingers are crossed that this will help/solve it but frankly it’s a rare and complicated condition (trust Kirsty!) and we’re probably in for the long haul in terms of a full recovery.
Anyhoo, clearly it’s a very worrying and stressful time for Darrin and the family and all those of us who love the gal. I for one am a little lost without her but that ain’t nothing compared to what her wonderful husband Darrin, two gorgeous kids Leni and Sid and amazing mum Rowena are going through. Please spare her and them your thoughts/prayers. Thanks everyone, Rebecca xx

Also featuring a smattering of the Gates splitting up, dishwashers playing hide and seek, tired thieves in the night and strangers waking you up to tell you they're hungry. Enjoy. x

This week we are delving in to deep dark galaxies, but it’s not all about Rebecca’s smear test, no we are visiting the Milky Way, stopping by the Diet of Worms, all set to a beautiful soundtrack of sloths screaming for their carnal pleasure whilst Kirsty sings Agadoo. Come and join us, and we can all be dangling h***y bags of digesting leaves, together.
