I am having conversations about the intersection of faith, life, and culture.

We live in a world that suffers from a deficit of joy. As a result, we sometimes make a lot of dumb decisions chasing after that joy, only to come away empty handed. In my latest podcast, I talk about the gift of joy that is available for everyone.

We live in a world that suffers from a deficit of joy. As a result, we make a lot of really bad decisions to try and fill up in what we lack. In this podcast, I look at the joy that is ultimately available for everyone....

According to Spotify, my top podcast episode remains the interview I conducted with my late friend, Bill Fehr, who passed away unexpectedly in 2020.

Which honestly, for anyone who knew Bill, it doesn't shock me that people are still looking for him. He was a unique and beautiful human being with an uncanny story telling ability. He was loved by a lot of people.

You can listen to this discussion I had with Bill about how he turned his back on his management job in corporate America, and became a professional bike messenger/courier for the last 20 years of his life. It's a fun and fascinating story.

Listen at:

Bill Fehr's career as a professional bike messenger is nothing short of unconventional. After a cosmic experience moved his soul, Bill left his career in corporate America, and took a path less traveled. In today's podcast, I interview Bill to talk about his unusual journey...

There's the temptation to view the war between Israel and Gaza in black and white "good vs evil" terms. In my latest podcast, I explore why things are more complicated than that. I also look at how some of the final words of Christ on the cross should shape our hearts and minds when thinking about and engaging on these issues...

As tempting as it is to view the war between Israel and Gaza in black and white "good vs evil" type thinking, the issues are far more complex than that. In today's podcast, I attempt to look at both sides of the conflict in light of its greater historical context, as well as what I believe how some....

Are aliens real? Have UFO's visited us? And what should we think of the testimony of Airforce Major David Grusch and his testimony about / phenomenon? And what are the theological implications of aliens for Christians?

My latest podcast:

Are aliens real? Have UFO's visited us? And what should we think of the testimony of Airforce Major David Grusch and his testimony before a house oversight committee stating that the U.S. Military has been in possession of UFO's since the 1930's? And what implications does the existence of aliens ha...

"And Alexander wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer." So, what do you do with your life when you've accomplished everything there is to accomplish? Especially when you desire to do nothing but engage in world conquest? What's the next chapter of your life look like?

I think people look at things like the Asbury Revival with skeptism.

Revival seems to be a departure from the so-called "ordinary means of grace."

That is, the ordinary Christian life caught up in its usual rhythms of church, preaching, the Lord's Supper, your daily devotionals, etc.

But, we should be careful of such criticisms. For while there is surely the ordinary means of grace, it must also be acknowledged that in both Scripture and church history, we see unique times where God's grace breaks into time and place in extraordinary ways, to bring about unique "times of refreshing." There are times of "extra-ordinary" means of grace that God gives us too.

Such moments can't be programmed, managed, hyped, scripted, spread, or controlled. "Revival" is an extraordinary moment. Embrace it wherever it shows up. Praise God for it. For like any rain shower, it is here but for a season. And then it departs.

But once it does, remember what happened and the lives it changed. Then happily return to the ordinary means of grace, and the normal Christian life.

Social media influencer and YouTube star "Mr. Beast" recently paid for 1,000 blind people to receive surgery that restored their vision, and made a video about it. Some see this as "exploitation," yet others see it as nothing but someone doing good.

In this podcast I explore both sides of the controversial practice of performative charity.
