Shhpuma is a new Portuguese record label, directly aimed at promoting and celebrating an unparalleled creative and richly heterogeneous moment in the country’s musical history. Working under the umbrella of Clean Feed’s steady rise to a global editorial reference in the contemporary creative jazz spectrum, and as an extension of it, Shhpuma will put to use all its accumulated
know-how to build a comprehensive catalog going beyond, below and above the jazz realm, focusing mainly on the Portuguese creative musicscene, but open to releasing vibrant and vital music by committed artists from all over the globe. Shhpuma’s first two releases will be available in April: the eponymous debut of the trio PÃO (pianist/composer Tiago Sousa, tape and objects manipulator Travassos and sax player Pedro Sousa) and a new work by guitar player FILIPE FELIZARDO, titled “Guitar Soli for the Moa and the Frog”. Shhpuma will work together with its artists towards building and asserting their unique creative vision and full artistic expression, all the while looking to providing them with the ability to look confidently into the future as uncompromising, committed, genuine and fully realized musicians

The amount of dedication to this piece is so obsessed that the music is always evolving and improving in a demand for perfection. "Um Um Um e Não Há Forma de Morrer" is definitely sui generis music that is mandatory to listen to.
