Forest Sun releases his 13th studio album No Finish Line on November 1st, 2024, making his discography a veritable lucky bakers dozen of albums to date. No Finish Line is a comforting blend of slow folk-bluegrass-country-gospel-soul that touches deeply and leaves you coming back for more. Songs for early morning long drives. Songs that hold your hand. This album includes songs that are featured on Spotify’s Take It Slow, Indie Bluegrass and Grass Roots playlists, Pandora’s Today’s Tunesmiths and Troubadours, Apple Music’s Acoustic Chill, Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Folk, the Alternate Root’s Top Ten and Folk Alley. The new album No Finish Line was produced with long time collaborator multi -instrumentalist Gawain Mathews and features chanteuse Lara Louise as well as national fiddle champion Luke Price. The album cover was designed by Forest’s little brother Eben Schumacher. Forest released a new song every month this year culminating in the new album No Finish Line all made possible by Forest’s Patreon supporters. The short film of the first track on the album America, I Love You won the Indie Spirit Award at the prestigious Idyllwild Cinema Festival. This tongue in cheek tough love song to America was directed by Forest’s cousin Tess Schumacher and filmed on location in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Here are the lyrics to my new song Precious Days. I wrote this last time I was in Austin, Texas on Noëlle Hampton and Andre Moran 's couch. The photo I took in Monterey driving to Southern, Ca for the Grammy's last February.
The song releases Friday Jan 12 and features Lara Louise and Gawain Mathews. Mastered by Justin Weis.
