*Indian Army Organises Food Festival in Remote Village of Sangaldan, Ramban*
Indian Army and Education Department, Ramban District organises a food festival in Higher secondary School Sangaldan to celebrate the International Day for Violence Against Women. The day is celebrated as a reminder to abstain and to voice against all violence against women throughout the world. The students of far flung area in Jammu etched the the noble cause in the minds of local populace through an unorthodox means of participating in the Food Festival and presenting their art of cooking cuisines from all parts of the nation.
The festival saw participation of not only the girls but score of boys who stepped up to voice for the cause. The event saw an establishment of 15 Food stalls with both sweet and savoury dishes displayed. The festival was attended by Exectutive magistrate Keshav Kumar and a strength of over 400 people from the local areas.
All participants were felicitated at the end of the programme and The Best stall trophy was coveted to the stall named “ Food Street” prepared by Safiya Anjum r/o Sangaldan, Shaida Dar r/o Sangaldan and Iqra Tasam Bano r/o Gool which was based on three criterias ie. Food, Creativity and Theme. The children expressed their happiness and enthusiasm during the programme. The creativity of the students further complemented the entire event. Such events being organised are testimony of the relentless efforts made by the Indian Army to inculcate the motto of “Think Global, Act Local” to the students. Such activities further strengthening the bond between the local populace especially the youth and the Indian Army.

```Rajouri, Aug 11: Two fidayeen were killed while five soldiers’ sustained injuries in a su***de attack bid at Pargal area of Rajouri district, defence officials said Thursday.
Defence officials told that two militants while trying to sneak into a post in the dark at Pargal, Rajouri were detected and engaged by alert troops.
“The militants have been neutralized while five soldiers also suffered injuries and are being treated,” they said.
Defence officials said that in a militant attack 25 kms from Rajouri, two militants carried out a su***de attack on an army company operating base,” they said.
ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh said that someone tried to cross the fence of the army camp at Pargal in Darhal area of Rajouri. “Exchange of fire took place. Additional parties dispatched to the area 6 km from Darhal. Two militants have been killed,” he said. The officials said that the operation is in progress.kno```
