This past weekend, Korea hosted its first Star Wars Unlimited PQ and I was asked to help judge it. It was a long day that started with me waking up at 5am to catch a flight to Seoul. But it was worth it. I had a blast and got to meet some pretty cool guys who really enjoy SWU. I got some cool swag and opened my first Carbonite pack and pulled a showcase! Everyone’s reaction when I flipped the pack over to reveal it was priceless.

All and all, it was a great day and I hope I can continue to help out our small but growing SWU community here in South Korea.

So, I may be playing Ghost of Yotei just to play with animals I normally wouldn’t get a chance to. I love all of these interactions in the game.

For Star Wars Day, I invited a few friends over to help celebrate. We played Star Wars Unlimited. I think we all had a blast playing it. We played the Twin Suns format as well as the premiere format. The game is so fun to play. People were able to pick it up quite quickly.

Then we proceeded to watch some of the Star Wars films. We ended up watching Episodes 1 and 2. It became a Mystery Science Theater episode where we joked about all of the things in those films.

I also had some little Death Star magnets made. was able to get them done so I could just add a magnet to them to give away to everyone who showed up. I also had a bunch of stickers that everyone got to take home.

I’d say this years Star Wars Day was great fun. Hanging out with friends, playing games and watching movies that mean so much to me.

I just got my new mat from here in Korea. This mat is beautiful! I can’t wait to play some games on it.

Over the past year, a few friends and I have collected Star Wars Unlimited cards and played when we could. Now SWU has officially landed in Korea.

This weekend was the first official prerelease weekend for Star Wars Unlimited in Korea and I got to play in it. I played in two events, one at 2 and one at 7. It was a full day of Star Wars fun. I tried out different leaders and had a blast playing with friends and making new ones.

The first event, I didn’t do too well with a 1-2 record. But then I got a 2-1 record for the later event. I won two packs and I pulled the Ackbar showcase. I couldn’t believe it. It was a great way to end the event and I look forward to playing more and even help judge events in the future.

Finally got my new case in from Branching away from my normal Star Wars swag and went for One Piece this time around. I’ll have to get a photo of the different cases I’ve used over the years. Think I still have my old ones lying around somewhere because I can’t make myself throw them out. Ha!

I finished The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. I had a lot of fun playing this game. It was neat to play as Zelda to save Hyrule. I liked how each of the puzzles could be solved in various ways and depending on the echoes you had collected.

One of the gripes I had with it was how we select the echoes. I wish there were more options of how to sort them as the list of echoes you get is quite long. Other than that, I had a lot of fun with it.

What are your thoughts on Echoes of Wisdom?

I might have the coolest friend. He came back from the States with not just a Christmas stocking but a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Christmas stocking. And it was filled with all sorts of goodies including a PlayStation scarf! By far one of the coolest Christmas gifts I received this year.

While we were in Osaka, Sean wanted to take the boat your of Dotonburi. We woke up early and headed down to buy the tickets and got two for 7:00pm. While we waited, we did some shopping and this was also the time we visited the woodblock printing museum. You can see the cat on the outside of the building and then I took a photo of a printing that looked like it had been torn and pasted on the wall. And of course I showed Sean the secret spot to get a good photo of the Glico sign(running man). This was also the day Sean opted to hanging out in a cage while I did some nerd shopping.

For our first trip to Japan together, I’d say it was a success. We both had a lot of fun and thought of some things we’d do next time.
