I got to play my first game of Twin Suns today. I made a few decks for my friends and I to use. The Jabba/Boba deck and Krennic/Inquisitor decks were two that I made trying to be as thematic as possible. Krennic/Inquisitor worked well together trying to get damage on my own units to buff them. Jabba/Boba were trying to take advantage of bounties and overpower everyone. One of our friends made the Finn/Rey deck. They wanted to create shield and experience tokens to do damage and protect themselves. All three decks seemed to play quite well but Krennic/Inquisitor were able to nudge ahead in the end.

This is a format I want to spend more time in since SWU doesn’t really exist in Korea. But it’s nice to be able to meet with friends and play fun formats like this. Hopefully next time our other friend can join and we can have four players.

I roped some friends into playing a bit of Star Wars Unlimited and I pulled my very first showcase. This card looks amazing and am glad it’s in my collection.

After playing a few games, they asked me to build some decks for some Twin Suns (since they are used to MtG commander). Looks like I have a bit of homework to do.

Visiting Disney rekindled my interest in Lorcana and I decided to get the solo campaign to play while I tempt my friends to join me. I’ve played a few games so far and am currently 1-1 on easy and 0-1 on normal. Almost had it on normal but then Ursula had a big hand and took off.

I had some friends introduce me to a game called Zombicide by CMON several months ago and I really enjoy it. This was from our game over the weekend and we almost had it. My friend and I were at the exit and on the zombies’ turn, an abomination showed up. We had no chance against the horde that had been building and were overwhelmed.

Even though we lost, we still had fun. And now I’ve caught the bug and want to get some of the other expansions so we can try out the different variations.

This past year, I started a new job and didn’t really get around to a lot of painting. But something I did paint were gifts for a couple of friends I go to travel around Japan with. I was quite happy with how they turned out and think my friends appreciated the gifts.

I’m hoping that in 2024, I’ll be able to paint more.

While traveling around Osaka, we stopped in at the Nintendo shop. There was so much I wanted to buy but just walked away with a few items. The Duck Hunt amiibo was a must and then I couldn’t pass up the Super Famicom controller. I’ll have to get the Famicom controllers next time.

While in Japan last week, I stopped by some shops that had old Nintendo products on sale. There was a lot I really wanted to buy but couldn’t get it all. I’ll be back in Japan to spend more time in these shops because it was a lot of fun browsing their stock.
