THANK YOU Ranjit Sahu 🙏 ❤
GloMag has been blessed with the very best of artwork ever since its inception due to the generosity of the artists and their willingness to gift us their artwork. Last month, we had one such artist at the helm, who had us all enthralled with the effortless brilliance of his brush work.
We have to move on to the next issue, but even as we do that, we look back with deep satisfaction to the issue that was and the beauty that filled our hearts with such delight.
Thank you so much, Ranjith, for gifting GloMag a very lovely Cover Pic and for sharing your artworks with us.
We, here on GloMag, wish you nothing but the best - and success in all your future endeavors.
Thank you so much! ❤
With Lots Of Love and Best Wishes,
The GloMag Family

Personal statement
I believe nature and humans share an intricate relation and most of my work revolves around nature and its elements and human relations. My purpose is to use art for both entertainment and to incite a love for nature in people. Art is an effective medium for healing from both stress and conflict in life. I have been involved with the event “Poetry Cafe” for over six years while residing in The Bronx, with a view to help the inmates of Palladia Inc., find a new meaning in life through interest in poetry and served as a judge in the competitions designed to encourage the inmates to express themselves. I believe that art is important to understand the beauty of our existence on the planet. I have been painting for about five years now using oil and acrylic as my medium. I am a self-taught, freelance painter and sometimes take the opinion of friends and colleagues during my work. I hail from a beautiful hilly region in India and am presently resident in another beautiful state Virginia of the United States. Through my art I want to examine the relation between nature and its various living and non-living components. In this regard I have exhibited my paintings in the events held at Poe Park Center, The Bronx under the ‘Whimsical Winter Wonder’ theme in the years 2016-2017 and 2017- 2018. I currently have a set of work being exhibited in the Quiet Room of JMRL, Charlottesville that covers the theme of spring.
A second purpose of my art ventures is to obtain donations for charity where applicable. In this regard, I have donated and participated in fund raising events organized by the Bronx Art Factory during my residence in New York City.
Presently I am working on a few themes, with ‘People and Seasons’ being the working theme that deals with the expression and experiences of people in different seasons. I have painted a few portraits based and few landscape based artwork done me for this theme and plan to continue it I am also working on a theme of paintings depicting wild and rural landscapes of India and Nepal to bring forth an awareness of the loss in habitats happening in that part of the world.
The present set being exhibited in JMRL is a work in progress on a theme titled, “Seasons and people”. This series features some work done to celebrate spring of 2018 and depicts the spring mood. The presents set is Titled, ‘Fragrance of spring’ and is the work done Spring 2018.
I have recently begun a webpage of my own http://ranjitsahu.orgwhere I plan to post my artwork. Art is an important aspect of quality life in modern times and I aim to use my spare time to use different art forms like poetry, paintings and photography to promote peace and joy around the world.

NEXT ISSUE OF GLOMAG WILL BE THE AUGUST-SEPTEMBR ISSUE

Hi GloMaggers,
I'm bringing out a combined issue of GloMag this time. The mag will be published on September 15 - 2024, mainly because I have some urgent personal work. Also, I need to continue streamlining the mag.

I already have all your work for August, so I will not be posting a Call For Submissions.

We do have a few new contributors this time.

Um...I have asked for work for September as well - and a lot of you have complied very graciously. Thank you so much! I will keep your work for October. Rest assured that I will be thanking each and every one of you who has written in.

And as for those who haven't, my eyes are on you. I will surely trouble you in October.

Love and Best Wishes,
Glory Sasikala
