Deadbeat Club is an independent photobook publisher & coffee roaster based in Los Angeles.

Established in 2011 by Clint Woodside, Deadbeat Club is an independent publishing group & coffee roaster located in Los Angeles, California. Rooted in contemporary photography, our ethos on small run, limited edition publications carries into our small batch single origin, signature blend and limited release coffees. Each Deadbeat Club project is selected with the expectation of collaboration and

a longstanding partnership. Working closely with photographers and artists around the world, making sure their original vision is never compromised, we produce a body of work that we are proud to share with our community. Likewise, our extension into coffee is another way to facilitate community and enhance the photobook experience. Each bean is chosen for taste as well as its positive impact on the local farm community, with quality & traceability at the forefront. Roasted without natural gas and without harmful emissions, we aim to make a positive impact with a good cup of coffee that feels good to purchase.

A follow up to her debut monograph "Entangled" (Deadbeat Club, 2020), "Resurfacing" furthers Arsenault's visual poetry with ongoing, honest exploration of the female experience. It is an essential extension of her work, translating the delicate, subdued power of her images into a tactile, textured design--giving amplitude & rhythm to Arsenault's feminist visual language.

Somehow noticing today how odd it feels to pull photos to post here, after taking so much care to edit & sequence them into a book. Fortunately, so many of Ian's photos can be appreciated on their own or in alternative mini vignettes. A few from "Lost Dog". Standard & Special Editions are available & now shipping.

When the books arrive in time for hundreds of copies to be signed the night before your artists head home🤪 It was really a gamble when & each booked their 3-day international visits. We had 2 days of waiting, 1 night of disbelief that the plan worked, a final day of signing hundreds of books, followed by a celebratory dinner: these are the faces of some very relieved-after-being-very-stressed, very jetlagged & exhausted humans... and , who front-loaded his contributions to "Resurfacing" & "The Lizard" at production time. We couldn't be happier with Maude & Gabriele 's latest titles & hope you all feel the same 🖤 Another gamble, but with much better odds🤗

"Let Me Sow Love" is a project born from pain. While riding a bus through his town, caught sight of hateful scrawlings. Determined not to let that define the place where he chose to start his new family, Roger set out to capture & spread love... his own visual prayer, inspired by the Prayer of St. Francis:

"Make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is doubt, faith
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy."
