On Saturday May 11th the band will play at Geneva Hall in Elm Mott. 7-11 pm. Admission $10 per person. A portion of the door will go to Lacy Lakeview Fire Dept. Big dance floor. Beer sales. Kitchen will be open. The band will feature Roger Kirby on piano and lead vocals, Richard Pavelka on lead guitar and vocals, Wallace Pelton on steel guitar, Loyd Folz on bass and me on drums and vocals. Crowd was great last time so we got another date. Help us keep it going.

Thanks for the big turnout for Barbara Bradshaw's visitation. Tuesday 2 pm at Lake Shore Funeral Home will be the funeral services presided over by Rev. Buddy Sipe of Grace Temple Baptist Church. After the funeral , Grace Temple Baptist Church will host the family and friends about 3 pm to some food, sandwiches, drinks, desserts, finger foods. Anyone wanting to drop food off at Grace Temple Baptist Church at 3825 Bosque Blvd. can do so after 1 pm. There is a drive thru on the Bosque side. To the right. I think it is a sorry thing to do for the Waco Trib to cut local band listings in the Thursday Access Waco.. Why didn't they cut some of the other parts and give us something?. I have always been a print guy but the Trib is making it hard to continue. The Out of the Blue band hopes word of mouth and social media (facebook) will save the day from our past posts about tonight at Geneva Hall.

The Out of the Blue country dance band is excited to perform for the third year in a row at Geneva Hall in Elm Mott for New Year's Eve. As previously announced Roger Kirby on keyboards and vocals will join the band. Roger's band Texas Heartbeat was a prominent band in Central Texas for decades. We are so glad he is "unretiring". Doors will open at 5 pm Sunday Dec. 31st and first come , first served on tables. $25 per couple. $15 single., Kitchen will be open. Party favors provided and black eyed peas and cornbread at midnight.

The Out of the Blue country band is excited to welcome longtime Waco keyboardist, vocalist and band leader Roger Kirby to the band. You will remember Roger and his popular Texas Heartbeat band that kept the dance floor full for years at Geneva Hall, Sul Ross Senior Ct. and other clubs and dance halls all over Central Texas. Covid 19 and a few other reasons caused him to retire a few years ago. Richard Pavelka our lead guitarist who had worked with Roger for about seven years and I were hoping he could be persuaded to join us. Roger will join us on Saturday Dec. 16 at the McGregor American Legion 8-11 pm. (No cover charge). That means he will be with us on New Year's Eve at Geneva Hall ($25 per couple, $15 single) and Thurs. Jan. 4th at the Sul Ross Senior Ct. for the Boot Scootin' Dance Club. 7-9:15pm.
