Identify deceased Persons, Ganderbal Police to General Public

Today on 28-04-2024 at around 4:00 pm a vehicle boarded with 9 passengers while coming from Sonamarg towards Kangan skidded off the road at Gagangeer and plunged into Sindh River.

On receiving this information PS Gund alongwith SDRF and other forces started rescue operation.

During the rescue process 02 injured persons were shifted to nearby Hospital for immediate treatment and four (04) dead bodies were also retrieved from the spot.

Identity of one deceased male has been ascertained and further Identity of three more deceased including two female and male are being ascertained.

General public is requested to help Ganderbal Police in identifying the three deceased persons on these cell numbers.

The first meeting of J&K Electronic and Print Media Association (EMPA) --- an amalgam of professional journalists from electronic and print media --- was held in Srinagar under the chairmanship of its president Syed Tajamul Islam and General Secretary Tariq Bhat. On the occasion the president EMPA Syed Tajamul said that he Association would impart training to budding journalists working in farflung areas of Jammu and Kashmir.He said that journalists who risk their lives in gathering information amid pandemic are frontline warriors.

Ambulance driver suspended in Ganderbal after a video surfaced on social networking sites showing negligence in duty GANDERBAL 20 April : In a prompt action against a negligent ambulance driver, CMO Ganderbal ordered his immediate suspension. Reports said , an ambulance was sent to pick and carry Covid suspects from the Red Zone, Gutlibagh to District Hospital Ganderbal for their sample collection. Violating the SOP norms, the ambulance driver had allegedly driven his unhygienic and unclean vehicle and carried around a dozen in one go, thus by putting all the lives at risk. Taking the serious note, CMO Ganderbal Dr Mehraj-ud-Din ordered an instant suspension of the driver and the vehicle was kept to stand at District Hospital for thorough cleaning and sanitization before it'll be used again.
