There was this friend of mine who dissuaded me from leaving my 9-5 job and venturing into entrepreneurship.
He warned me saying "If you think 9-5 is hard and that's why you're leaving it to go into the business world then you better think again cos business is tougher".
To cut the story short, I didn't listen to him. My mind was made up.
I started out 2017 but it was more of fun for me, just playing around, learning new stuffs and testing my abilities.
I definitely had to learn new stuffs, cos what I read in school (1st degree - Economics & Statistics) (2nd degree - International Law & Diplomacy) had absolutely nothing to do with what I wanted to venture into.
I'ld always beg my parent for data or I silently turn on the hotspot coupled with my parent's laptop I was using at the time.
Should I talk about how I went a full year without receiving one naira from any client. Hahaha bold of me to type client, did I even have one🤣
My parent would be like "hope you've sent out your CV to some companies today cos this thing you're doing on the laptop is a waste of time"
Then, I was learning how to build websites, how to write engaging copies, how to run ads etc but I was told it was a waste of time.
Did i feel like giving up? Hell Yeah!
Who won't feel like giving up when one full year went by without no credit alert.
Well...Somehow I stayed. Somehow I continued. Thank God for great people I had around me who encouraged me and gave me some small jobs to start with and test my hand. Thank God for friends who had my back.
Today my parent call me "Odogwu Nwanyi" and you know not everybody can answer that name.
Anywaiz, the concluding part of this long epistle is that "Hold steadfast onto that which you have started". Some people may laugh you to scorn, your friends may not even patronize you but keep on going. Find a way to encourage yourself.
Last year, 2020...I began to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Today, we have more international clients than Nigerian clients (which has always been my prayer).

Sometimes you set up your Ad and it's acting as if it drank poison, everything is just slow.
If after 3 days nothing is happening, don't wait till Mark collects all your money, tweak that Ad.

Here's how to get your account taken down in 4 easy steps.
Step 1: From slide 2, we can see Khafi posting her family picture jejely. So for you, you can look for any celebrity of your choice.
Step 2: From slide 3, we can see how village people moved an IG account owner named Sharon to put out an unfortunate comment.
You can do same too with the celebrity of your choice.
Step 3: From slide 4, we can see the real face and personal details of the IG account owner.
In your case, please don't stop email, also add your phone number and house address. E get why!

In my last post I spoke, I explained some reasons why your ID may not be confirmed by Facebook.
Today we would look at reasons that cam make your ad account disabled.
1. An ad account can be disabled if it has been inactive for up to 60 days.
2. An ad account can be disabled if it violates any of Facebook advertising policies.
3. An ad account can be disabled if they are are multiple cases of disapproved ads.
4. An ad account can be disabled if it is linked to a page, profile or business manager thats already disabled.
5. An ad account can get disabled for no reason. In this case Facebook disables the account so that the account owner can submit an ID for verification. This helps their routine check to ensure there are no frauds.

Omo Facebook na your mate??
While some people were complaining that the app went down for hours, some advertisers having been ranting about the frequency at which ad accounts are been banned these days.
And sometimes, its not that you did anything bad or violated their policies oh. Again I repeat, Facebook na your mate?
Maybe tomorrow, ild share with you reasons why your ad accounts can be disabled but for today, let's look at some reasons why even after you send your ID for confirmation, it comes back disapproved.
Reason 1:
If the name on your ID doesn't match the name on my Facebook Profile.
E.g. The name on your Facebook Profile is Rayen Whyte, meanwhile the name on your Facebook profile is Rayen Stone, this could make them disable your account so work on it.
Reason 2:
If the photo on your ID is not clear or it looks so much different from the one on your Profile, they can reject your ID.
Reason 3:
Your ID can actually just be rejected for reasons not stated. This goes to show that Facebook wields the sole prerogative to approve or reject any ID so start praying to God that they approve yours.

I broke a record last week. For the first time ever since this brand started, I went 3 straight days without attending to any work.
Unbelievable!
I had always thought to myself that now is not the best time to take a break. Ray...so many things would go wrong if you aren't available.
So even when on admission, ild have drip on one hand, my laptop on the other hand, just to make sure nothing spoils.
I have awesome team members who have their delegated duties but somehow I've always felt like my presence is still needed.
Last week was different for me, I knew my brain was shutting down. I got the signs it was showing me but haaa! What will I do? Taking a break during working hours was a No-No.
I was looking at the screen but couldn't execute nada. Tried focusing on the work in front of me but I was delivering at a slow rate. By Thursday I couldn't take it no more. Had to reach out to my business mentors for help.
They all advised the same thing. Take a break Ray! Go see a movie! Go to the beach! Relax!
Hahaha this cannot be me. Go to which beach? When I have unfinished jobs starring me in the face.
I was still contemplating this when one of my team members sent me a message saying I should switch off my phone and rest. In her words she said "The world can burn if it wants to but I should get some rest".
What was striking for me was when she said, if you die, your clients will give you a minute silence and max 3 days get a new person to fill your slot.
It was like fresh rhema was downloaded into my brain. And that was how Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I did nothing pertaining to work.
I need an award please 😁
The break came in handy. Now I feel so rejuvenated to work just that even now the work has piled up more than last week 🤣😂😂 I go dey alright las las.

I think God has been gracious to me cos my clients are really sweet. I'm not even joking, these clients don't have stress.
But news making rounds in the social media managers community, is that some clients have PhD in stressing.
I read and have heard about different types of client some SMM have and i can't help but thank God for mine honezli.

Another goodnews for business owners. Facebook has added the "Instagram Shop" as a new placement so that now, your ads can perform better.
Remember that this feature would only be available for accounts who already have Instagram shop enabled.
Instagram shop is a new feature so not many accounts have access to it but happy are you if you do cos now your products can now be seen by serious minded customers who are specifically in search of your product.

P E R C E P T I O N! How do people perceive you/your brand? Random Fact About Ray! In my life, av had people tell me that when they first set their eyes on me, they felt I was more of a disheveled person, probably because of my hairstyle🤦♀️🤦♀️I dunno! Coming close to me, they realised I was really organized and my space so neat and tidy. Particularly, i remember this lady way back on campus who told me she had always thought I was rough and disorganized. She felt my cloths and stuffs would be really untidy and scattered but was surprised when she visited my hostel and saw my cloths neatly stacked up, provision carefully arranged and my room so tidy. Hahaha E shock her😂🤣 Well, this has made me ponder a lot. What exactly do I give off, that makes some people think my space is so disorganized? What really? 🤔🤔 While i am still figuring this out about myself, i want you to look inward and ask yourself, how do people perceive my brand? What do people think about my brand? What do people say that my brand is? Even Jesus had to ask the same question in Matt 16 vs 13 - 16 when He asked Peter, Who do men say that I am? If the perception is wrong then we might have to change it. Just that in my case, I don't know how to change the perception of some who think I am disorganized simply because of my hair...abi you want me to change my hairstyle? Naaa! Try again last year.
