We have been asking all of our readers to pack us with them on their travels this year, just to see how far we can get!

We were delighted to receive this picture from delivery volunteer Julie who asked her neighbour Sarah to take us along on her trip to Iceland! Here we are pictured in front of the waterfall near Akureyri, Iceland!

CALLING ALL SUNFLOWER GROWERS!!!!

Sandra shared her wonderful sunflower pictures with us - they certainly are HUGE!

Are you growing any sunflowers this year? Sandra is going to measure hers today so we can get some idea on their height - we're guessing somewhere close to 10ft?

Just for fun...can we find the tallest sunflowers around?

We'd love you to add your pictures to this post to see how many we can find! - if you're brave enough (and very careful) we'd love to know how tall they are too!!

OUR TWO AMAZING JUNIOR FUNDRAISERS!

Regular readers of our magazine (and of our pages) will no doubt recall the incredible story of sisters Lola, (age 6) and Immie, (aged 3) who were planning to climb Snowden to raise funds for the Garden House Hospice Care.

Well, the big day was last weekend - here's a snap of three year old Immie, with Mum Harriet (still smiling) whilst on the climb up..

To find out whether these two incredible young fundraisers made the cimb and to read the lovely account written especially for the Arlesey News Magazine by the girl's Mum Harriet you'll need to wait until your September issue arrives on your doorstep!!

We'll give you a small clue...we have always thought these girls were amazing (as it isn't the first time fundraising for Lola) but now we think they are SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!

This coming Thursday the new Priest for Arlesey, Revd Jenna Dearden, is being licensed and will be living in the Arlesey Vicarage, ready to start her new ministry.

Her first service with us will be on Sunday 28th July at 9.30.
It would be lovely to see lots of residents there to give her a big Arlesey welcome.

DO YOU HAVE A CHILD ABOUT TO START AT ETONBURY OR MOVING UP TO THE NEXT YEAR?

Great opportunity to grab some pre-loved uniform bargains today at 2.30pm The Need Project

Secondhand Uniform Sale - The ETA secondhand uniform sale will be held at The Need Project, Stotfold on 10 & 11 July at 2.30 - 4.30pm.

In the meantime, if you have any branded uniform in good
condition to donate please drop these into the school reception. We ONLY require branded items of Etonbury jumpers, blazers, skirts and PE kits. We don't have the facilities to wash the uniform, and
have very little storage, so please can we ask that they are clean, in ready to wear condition and folded neatly in bags when handing them into reception. Thank you for your support.

Please be advised that there is a larger than average funeral taking place at the council cemetery to the southern end of the village this afternoon potentially between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. This may cause disruption to traffic whilst the procession arrives and the burial takes place. Please allow extra time for your journey. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
