There are three phases in each of our travels:

Phase 1: Planning the trip. I love this phase – brainstorming destinations, deciding on cities and places to visit, researching the new country, creating daily itineraries, and making all the reservations.

Phase 2: The actual travel. This is when my vision becomes a reality. Quite often, I can't believe it's actually happening. One day, I'm in Toronto planning our South American adventure; the next, we are walking the streets of Buenos Aires. It's surreal. I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. Not everything goes according to my plans, of course, and that's totally fine. In fact, I enjoy the uncertainty during our travels. You get lost, discover new places that weren't even on your itinerary... I love it!

Phase 3: Creating vlogs from our trips. Videos are much more powerful when it comes to retaining memories and emotions for any activity, not just travel. I create far more videos during our travels than pictures. Those little snippets here and there are then compiled into a vlog. Music is added, edits are made, and the trip becomes available for everyone in the world to watch. How cool is that! One of the most rewarding aspects for me is inspiring others to travel the world, and what could be better than sharing our experiences with the world?

The only question that remains: What is the next destination? 😎

Visiting Chile was another proof that you don't have to be rich or financially stable to be happy and content. North Americans often get it wrong, thinking that real life begins only in retirement, and that's when true happiness can be found. However, as we witnessed in Chile, you can be happy for no reason. Simple food, simple music, and no expectations—though I'm simplifying a bit here. Many people in Chile do face financial struggles, but that doesn't stop them from enjoying life's simple moments. I'm grateful for the opportunity to visit this amazing country. While exploring Santiago and San Pedro, we only scratched the surface of this vast nation, the longest in the world. Chile, I miss you! 🇨🇱

🇧🇴 Salar de Uyuni, amid the Andes in southwest Bolivia, is the world’s largest salt flat. It’s the legacy of a prehistoric lake that went dry, leaving behind a desertlike, nearly 11,000-sq.-km. landscape of bright-white salt, rock formations and cacti-studded islands. Its otherworldly expanse can be observed from central Incahuasi Island. Though wildlife is rare in this unique ecosystem, it harbors many pink flamingos. 🇧🇴

Thrilled to be back home after nearly a two-week journey across South America. My skin needed some recovery following five days in the Atacama desert. We had unforgettable moments (visited some truly incredible places) and challenging ones (altitude sickness is real), but wouldn't change a thing about the past two weeks. It's an adventure we'll cherish forever. Now, I can't wait to create our South American vlogs - one about our Argentina and Chile adventures, and another about our travels in Bolivia. The Atacama Desert is known for remarkably clear skies and extremely dry air, largely due to its high altitude. In certain regions of this desert, rainfall has never been documented, making it one of the planet's clearest skies. This makes Atacama Desert one of the best places on earth to watch the sky.

Visiting Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world, was definitely a highlight of our Bolivian adventure. It’s one of those places which you have to see it to believe it. It covers 10,000 square kilometres (3,900 sq mi). Absolutely surreal place! So grateful to be able to see it with my own eyes. 🇧🇴
