I'm 36 yo.

It took me 18 years as an entrepreneur to learn this lesson.

"I think you are doing a good job with your content on Linkedin. It has helped to keep you at the forefront of my mind."

I received this message before sending the invoice.

You see,

They didn't sign up right away.

They followed me.

We exchanged some messages.

Then one day this message landed in my DMs.

*"Hey Landon, the time is right."*

Just like that.

For years I was focused on sales.

Learning NLP.

Studying sales scripts.

Mastering funnel software.

Taking Facebook ad certifications.

Devouring every book on persuasion I could.

But this changed everything.

There's power in being **top of mind**.

A power that doesn't require hypey sales tactics, and arm-wrestling leads into buying.

I was finally able to let out a sigh of relief.

Finally able to pack away the tactics I hated using and settle into what I love doing...

Showing up and staying top of mind.

The $$ have followed.

A single post earned me $26,122.55 in sales because someone saw it when the time was right.

This is why I advocate for email marketing and newsletters.

It allows you to stay top of mind.

So people can slide into your DMs when the time is right.

This is why I created a free [5 Day Lead Gen Mini Course]

I walk you through how to launch and validate your lead magnet so that you can start building your email list.

You can grab it here: The 5 Day Lead Gen Launch Plan.

Hope this helps, friend.

BTS: How To Find High Converting Hooks For Your Facebook & Instagram Ads.

20/07/2024

This 1 change will add $26,250 in monthly revenue.

I spent 2 weeks auditing a coaching business.

Where I uncovered 1 simple change that could add $26,250 in monthly revenue.

This change wouldn't require any additional expenses.

Not even a penny to be spent on paid ads.

You see,

We didn't even need to generate more sales calls.

They were already on pace to meet their 2024 goals, they just didn't realize it yet.

All they needed was to make one minor adjustment.

Get more people to show up.

Their sales pipeline and call calendars were full.

But only 56% of people were showing up to their sales calls.

By improving this from 56% to 70% we'd generate enough 'shows' to hit their goals.

Here are the 4 adjustments I recommended to improve their show-up rate:

1) Shorten the booking window.

Allowing people to book too far in advance results in higher no-show rates. People's lives get busy and it becomes easy to forget.

2) Introduce a show-up email and SMS sequence.

Design a series of emails leading up to the call that pre-frames, indoctrinates, and preps them for the call. Keeping it top of mind and building anticipation.

3) Give them a reason to show up.

Evaluate the opportunity to assign 'value' to the call. Providing people a reason to show up to the call.

4) Recapture lost leads.

Introduce a no-show/cancel automation. They booked in for a reason. Introduce an email and SMS sequence designed to nurture and get people to re-book. This will recapture a percentage of lost opportunities.

My audit included 20 pages of recommendations to scale their business.

This 1 change produced an increase of over $25,000.

I cannot wait to see what implementing the rest results in.

Dreams die every day because...

- Impatience.
- Bruised egos.
- Unrealistic expectations.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

- It will take longer.
- It will be harder.
- You’ll want to quit.

^^ That’s the game we signed up to play.

We never fail if we keep going.

I buy a $6 coffee every morning.

I watch Netflix every night.

I procrastinate. A lot.

But, I also:

Exercise for 60 minutes a day.

Write every morning.

Make 6-figures.

The finance gurus told me I should cut my coffee.

Because I spend over $200/Month on coffee when I could buy a coffee machine.

The business gurus told me to stop watching Netflix.

Because I could spend those 2 hours every night building my business or learning.

I’m not about the hustle and grind life.

(It’s one of the main reasons I limit my input on social media)

What happened to having fun?

Turning our brains off?

Enjoying a really fu***ng expensive coffee or three?

Here’s the way I see it:

It’s about balance.

Patience.

And having fun.

That’s my recipe for success.

Choose 2-3 things to stay consistent with.

For me, it’s exercise, writing, meditating, and duolingo.

Don’t stress the rest.

Watch Netflix.

Play video games.

Go for a happy hour on a Thursday.

Instead of blindly following, realize you can chart your own path.

My mind loves the extremes...

When I hit a creative block or experience a lack of motivation.

I'd go dark and stop everything.

Or.

I'd try to absorb anything and everything.

Scrolling Instagram, and TikTok, listening to hours of podcasts, and filling every spare moment with audiobooks was counterproductive.

I ended up paralyzed with shiny object syndrome.

And it was just as bad as going dark.

One day I stumbled upon a motivational sweet spot.

Listening to a select 1-2 podcasts...

That always seemed to change my mood.

Little ideas and inspiration would drop in.

I'd catch myself opening up Google Keep and making notes of things to write creative ideas for my client's marketing campaigns.

But if I pushed it?

Too many inputs...

I'd quickly become paralyzed by overwhelm. And do nothing.

Over the years I developed a little ritual.

At first, I'd use it as a "reset" when my motivation dropped off.

I'd plug myself into the 2-3 people that inspired me.

I would unfollow everyone who triggered me.

I would stop listening to audiobooks.

I would take action when the motivation sparks were lit.

And just as importantly, I would be kind to myself if they didn't come and I'd focus on acknowledging the small wins.

It worked so well that it's now my standard operating procedure in life.

- Follow a select FEW that inspire.
- Unfollow the rest.
- Reduce inputs.
- Take action with motivation hits.
- Set micro goals - and acknowledge them.

If you're in a creative slump or looking to spark some motivation?

Give this motivational ritual a try for 30 days.

And if you're looking for some inspirational content to get the creative juices flowing?

Top 3 Personality Traits of Successful Facebook Ads Managers for High-Ticket Offers.

High-ticket offers require a different skill set.

These 3 personality traits help ad managers shift from a "commodity" to an "asset" for their clients.

Personality Trait 1: Attention to detail

High-ticket offers have a lot of moving parts.

Every part of the journey influences the result you're hired to achieve -- Generating sales. Attention to detail helps you identify what needs to be improved. Often this is not the "ad" but everything that happens after.

Poor ads may be a symptom of a larger problem. Attention to detail is how we identify the root cause.

Personality Trait 2: Creativity

Creativity cannot be outsourced to AI.

Ad managers can infuse creativity by identifying unique customer segments, retargeting strategies, creative concepts, hooks, leveraging high-performing content, and more.

When we develop creativity, our value spans beyond ads and can make us a linchpin within our client's organizations.

Personality Trait 3: Patience

High-ticket offers have unique customer journeys.

This is where strategy varies from e-commerce. Patience is a virtue when it comes to finding and validating funnels, front end offers, testing creative concepts, maximizing LTV, and increasing pipeline velocity.

We often need weeks or months not days to identify if things "work".

When we combine patience, creativity, and attention to detail ads managers shift from commodity to asset.

Everyone wants to hit a 10x ROAS.

Except there's something more valuable than this.

And with a little math, the picture becomes clear where we should apply our focus.

Last month I helped a client hit a 7x ROAS.

Except we only spent $2,000.

Cash collected was $14,000 netting $12,000.

People often cringe seeing a 3-4x ROAS.

In reality?

It can make you a lot more money.

Let's say we spend $20,000.

And our 7x dropped down to a 4x.

While this seems like our performance fell off a cliff...

We collected $80,000 with a net of $60,000.

While our ROAS almost dropped in half.

We made 5x more cash.

Let's take it one step further...

Imagine that we spend $50,000 at 3x.

Generating $150,000 and leaving you with $100,000.

Much better.

I know these are hypothetical scenarios with other factors like overhead, expenses, etc.

But it's not far off of what I've seen play out.

Someone brags about high ROAS...

While ad spend is low, or it's for warm traffic.

Which doesn't scale.

And it's kind of shocking how simple this math is and how few people take the time to do it.

So we can fixate on 10x ROAS...
..Or focus on the bottom line - cash in your pocket.

Don't get me wrong, though.

As a small biz or solopreneur spending $2k and rolling a 7x is incredible.

But the economics change when you're looking to scale.

And when we start to spend more?

There's a grocery list of "hidden benefits" that can't be quantified.

Bigger email list.

Larger brand.

Larger social media following.

More cash in your pocket.

And if you hand those to a smart marketer? (I might know one)

They can turn em into cash.

Imagine, waking up and finding out you’re losing your job…

What do you do?

Spending weeks dropping w**d gummies to dampen the stress while applying to hundreds of jobs, writing fluffy cover letters, and wasting hours on the phone explaining why “their” company is your dream job...

Alternatively…

Posting on LinkedIn that you’re open to work. Then waking up to a comment feed of people connecting you with companies hiring and an inbox filled with job opportunities.

Or, having recruiters and companies sliding into your DMs with dream job opportunities keeping you in control of the decision to stay or go.

And if your next move is to start your own business… An audience puts you in a position where your first client might be a single post away.

Reality: Your job is never safe.

You're one LinkedIn post away from future-proofing your career.

Future-proofing your career has no downside.

Becoming a thought leader can be used to stand out within your current organization and negotiate a raise or added responsibility.

If you leave (or get let go), having an audience gives you a network to leverage, can get you recruited, or help you stand out against your competitors.

If you start your own business, it gives you a leg up on getting your first clients.

And it could be used to add 1-2 clients on the side as a side hustle.

What option do you choose?
