A message for those building an online business.
I was asked to speak to a group of online coaches on building online businesses next week.
Today,
I’m building my slide deck.
And it will consist of a single slide.
“Remember: You do not need to take the traditional path or do what ‘everyone’ else is doing to be successful.”
There are 999 ways you can do things.
They’ve all been proven to work.
Find what works for you.
Find what you ENJOY.
This ad strategy helped me generate 616 leads for less than $1 a pop. Want the step-by-step guide?

I’ve always struggled with creating content.
That’s why I have devised a content plan:
- That could be done while working full-time.
- Used free tools to automate the process.
- Allowed me to publish 5x/day.
Here’s the exact content process I use to publish 5+ pieces of content per day.
Medium: Writing.
Platform: Substack.
Frequency: Weekly.
Creation: Saturday morning.
Editing: Monday afternoon.
My pillar is 1 long-form written letter per week.
Everything I publish is repurposed from this single piece of content I write.
- I write 1 letter per week.
- I read what I wrote while recording in SquadCast.
- I edit it with Descript, CapCut, or VidYo.
Here is what I publish each week:
- 1x Weekly Substack.
- 1x Weekly Audio Podcast.
- 1x Weekly YouTube Video (long).
- 1x Daily Clips on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Twitter.

My mind loves the extremes...
When I hit a creative block or experience a lack of motivation.
I’d go dark and stop everything.
Or.
I’d try to absorb anything and everything.
Scrolling Instagram, and TikTok, listening to hours of podcasts, and filling every spare moment with audiobooks was counterproductive.
I ended up paralyzed with shiny object syndrome.
And it was just as bad as going dark.
One day I stumbled upon a motivational sweet spot.
Listening to a select 1-2 podcasts...
That always seemed to change my mood.
Little ideas and inspiration would drop in.
I’d catch myself opening up Google Keep and making notes of things to write creative ideas for my client’s marketing campaigns.
But if I pushed it?
Too many inputs...
I’d quickly become paralyzed by overwhelm. And do nothing.
Over the years I developed a little ritual.
At first, I’d use it as a “reset” when my motivation dropped off.
I’d plug myself into the 2-3 people that inspired me.
I would unfollow everyone who triggered me.
I would stop listening to audiobooks.
I would take action when the motivation sparks were lit.
And just as importantly, I would be kind to myself if they didn’t come and I’d focus on acknowledging the small wins.
It worked so well that it’s now my standard operating procedure in life.
- Follow a select FEW that inspire.
- Unfollow the rest.
- Reduce inputs.
- Take action with motivation hits.
- Set micro goals - and acknowledge them.
If you’re in a creative slump or looking to spark some motivation?

Create content, not ads
Last Tuesday night,
I did a live training for a friend’s email marketing membership.
Teaching my Content To Cash system.
Here’s the DM he sent me right after we jumped off Zoom.
“Dude that was so freakin good. You could easily charge for that workshop.”
I won’t lie,
It felt pretty damn good to hear that.
It’s been a minute since I’ve presented in a live setting (other than teaching internal teams at my old agency)
His biggest takeaway though?
Create content, not ads.
I discussed how elite media buyers think about ads differently.
We work with clients to create content.
Organic, authentic, native-to-the-feed, and engaging.
Those “ads” you don’t even realize are ads.
Advertising inception.
I stumbled upon this after realizing some of the best ads we were using weren’t ads at all...
...They were posts we borrowed from client’s social media feeds.
And now?
When I start with a new client,
One of the first things I do is audit their IG for their top posts - most reach, highest engagement, and see how I can use them in our paid ads.
And the beauty of this system is it’s so simple you don’t even need “ad” experience to use it.
So then,
I wanted to see if you were interested in this private training.
