Theresa and Victoria are Ahemaa Nwomkro. And they have been back at the Joy Sound Studios for another 7“ to come. Ahemaa means queens and Nwomkro is a typical singing tradition of Kumasi, which our two Ahemaa are now sending all around the world.

Here, the Jimi Tenor Band is cooking the song Tropical Eel at a radio station live performance in Milano / Italy in early 2019, back in those golden days of touring. Jimi‘s band contained: Ritschi Koch on trumpet, Johannes Schleiermacher on sax, Nico Meinhold on keys and key-bass, Ekow Alabi Savage on percussion and myself (Max Weissenfeldt) in drums.
