6 militant associates of JeM arrested in Kulgam, Huge Arms And Ammunition Recovered
Kulgam, CNS, 03-Feb;Police on Friday claimed to have busted Jaish-i-Muhammad module by arresting 6 of its members with huge Arms and ammunition in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
In a statement issued, police spokesman that on the basis of specific information regarding carrying out of subversive activities in Mirhama and Damhal hanjipora area of district Kulgam.
The apprehended persons were identified as Shahid Ahmad Padder@Jeela of Mirhama, Ubaid Ahmad Itoo of Mirhama, Danish Ahmad Dar of DH pora, Nawaz Ahmad Ganir resident of Dangerpora, Aabid Mushtaq@Raju of Mirhama and Kifayat Ahmad Lone@Rinku of Mohammadpora.
The spokesman further said that during searches one pistol with 23 rounds, Cordtex explosive, 11 magazines, 446 rounds of Insas/M-4 Rifle, 30 AK rounds, one Chinese gr***des, 4 UBGL gr***des, 2 Rocket Shells, 4 Walkie-talkie, 1 wireless set, 2 chargers and a Magazine pouch was recovered.
“During preliminary investigation it surfaced that the militant were affiliated with the proscribed terror outfit JeM and were in touch with terror handlers across via various social media platforms. The arrested accused were hell bent to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in district Kulgam by way of carrying gr***de attacks, intimidating innocent civilians, standoff fire attacks on PRI members, minority communities etc",, it read
Meanwhile, In this connection Case with FIR No. 01/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station DH Pora.

*KULGAM POLICE ARRESTED ANOTHER DRUG PEDDLER AND RECOVERED CONTRABAND SUBSTANCES FROM HIS POSSESSION*

*Kulgam* : February 02, 2023

Today on *02.02.2023*, a Naka was established by the police party of police station Kulgam at *Okay, Kulgam* and during checking one person namely, *Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat S/O Late Bashir Ahmad Bhat R/O Okay, Kulgam* moving in a suspicious condition, carrying a nylon bag was signalled to stop. After noticing the police party, the said person tried to flee from the spot. However, he was chased and apprehended tactfully. During search of the said bag, officers present were able to recover *50 grams of Charas and 02 KGs of Poppy Straw* like contraband substances.

Regarding the incident case with FIR No. 06/2023 U/S 8/15, 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in *Police Station Kulgam* and investigation has been taken up.

Public is requested to come forward with any information regarding anti-social activity in their vicinity.

Aslam Alaikum sir, our Request is that the ticket staff of District kulgam hospital comes at 10:30 . if the administration of Kulgam always sees roads, they see jams. Why they don't see how a common man suffer Problems through to go to the hospital? And why does our mother & our pregnant Sisters have to wait for 2 hours for the ticket, that too in today's cold weather. why they didn't Improve Staff and also More Counters .. pls go there and check there are only one counter to Give tickets as well as Test fesses and xrays Fees. pls 🙏 check

It was a beautiful morning today, walking amid the snowclad peaks of Kashmir, and into the warm embrace of love and affection of the people.❤️

It is unfortunate though that I could not complete the entire duration of our walk due to the total collapse in the security arrangements by the Jammu & Kashmir police. I do not know why it happened or how it happened, but I do hope it does not repeat as we resume our Yatra tomorrow.

I look forward to meeting and interacting with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, listening to their joys and sorrows, and continuing on our journey to Unite India.🇮🇳
