Pumped about our second international screening in the Netherlands!! We are so proud of AMV Netherlands, and if we haven't said it enough already, thank you for your work on the film! If you are at today, come by AMVs 213 from 1-2 PM for a recorded interview with the late James Kaposztas, the first AMV editor. We will also screen his first AMV from 1982 titled, "All You Need Is Love." We filmed the interview in 2017 while making Synced Together.

As most of you know, Synced Together is a female-led production, so we would like to take today to express appreciation to all the women who made our film possible. Whether you volunteered or interviewed with us, thank you. We have so many amazing women in our AMV community; let's celebrate that!

We are heartbroken to hear of the recent passing of James Kaposztas. James was the first person on record to make an anime music video, and we were honored to meet him at our Otakon 2022 screening. We are so happy that he enjoyed the documentary. It felt incredible to celebrate his legacy in that way.

James, thank you for your immeasurable kindness and enduring support of our project. Thank you for your fantastic AMVs and for bringing so many people together through your work. Many of us wouldn’t be who we are today without AMVs. All those memories, and we have you in part to thank for that. Over and over again, thank you, James. As a community, we will remember you.

The wait is over! We are back from our post-premiere hiatus and are ready to share some behind-the-scenes details. First off, who noticed that Marianas Trench showed up in our music credits?! Super Exciting News!!! I am beyond thrilled to announce that my song, “What Will My Story Be? (feat. Blake Bassett)”, is now available worldwide!!!

A few years ago I was contacted by a team making a documentary about Anime Music Videos and their editors, and they asked if I would compose some music for the soundtrack. The AMV community has always been very important to me, so I immediately grabbed an instrument and wrote this song! We decided to keep the song under wraps until the movie premiered as an extra special surprise, and after all the pandemic setbacks, “Synced Together: AMVs & Their Editors” premiered last night!
