With a dj career of over 50 years that has seen him play a pivotal role in the emergence and evolution of several scenes, he is the dj who many djs cite as a major influence on their careers.

I’m Beane Noodler, presenter of “The Noodle Hotpot Show” that’s been beamed out across the internet airwaves for over 18 years now. My show is a monthly mix up of all things soulful that I’ve collected from the past 30 years of record digging and welcomes everything from disco, jazz, boogie, house, broken beat, latin, techno, hip hop and weirdo beardy balearic nonsense.

I hail from Nottingham and also co-promote the long running Soul Buggin’ night where I’ve been fortunate to lay alongside great DJs such as Andrew Weatherall, DJ Spinna, Benji B, Horse Meat Disco, D**o, Al Kent, Jazzanova, Recloose, Domu, Ray Mang, Alex Nut, Colin Curtis, Atjazz. These wonderful, hazy, dark room discos have influenced my shows no end so look forward to sharing these moments with you all.

Come and join me for one of my journeys through the outer reaches of my record collection. Goes down well with an afternoon brew and a hobnob.

Time to introduce our djs for our 20th birthday on 26.05.24

First up we have Jamz Supernova who’ll be supplying the sweet soulful sounds upstairs in the loft. Her shows on BBC Radio 6 Music every Saturday afternoon are essential listening and her vibrant dj sets have seen her be a mainstay at festivals and clubs worldwide spinning an eclectic mix of broken beat, house, techno, bass and beyond.

This is a very rare opportunity to see her play in such an intimate space so we can’t wait to welcome her to Soul Buggin’.

Still can’t believe I broadcast all this from my bed. Sitting crossed-legged for 2 hours done me in but Elmo bringing me Amaretto helped ease the pain. Turned out to be my busiest show I think which was lovely and all 3 kids jumping on the bed waving goodbye as Al Kent’s “Pick me up (say goodbye) played out seemed fitting.
