As part of our “How It Started” interview series, we had the pleasure of chatting with Alain Vo, CEO of LeafyPack, an innovative automation machinery supplier for the cannabis industry.

Alain’s journey into the cannabis industry began around 2016-17 when he was working in the commercial lighting sector. He proposed exploring commercial grow lights as a new market for his company, given their manufacturing capabilities. They started with a modular system using Reds and Far Red LEDs, and Alain delved deeply into research, eventually falling in love with the industry's potential. This led to the development of various lighting products and, ultimately, his involvement in founding LeafyPack in 2019.

Long a hotly debated and partisan issue, cannabis now seems like one of the only things we can all agree on, and some of the biggest disruptions in the marketplace have nothing to do with getting high.

BudsFeed is community platform designed to elevate the legal cannabis economy and create conversation around the innovative products, services, and brands transforming the business landscape. Our weekly newsletter will keep you up to date on everything trending on BudsFeed, from new CBD serums, to seed-to-sale software, and of course new ways to puff for those who partake.
