Celebrating 50 Years of People-Powered Radio during the 2011-2012 school year, KCSB-FM 91.9 began "Popped Culture: Radio Goes to the Movies," a free series of significant motion pictures from around the globe that feature radio as a key element. Although "Popped Culture" screenings have become occasional events, and are no longer restricted to radio themes on-screen, we are nevertheless committed

to enriching the local community with independent films (both fiction and on-fiction) and more. That is to say, KCSB-FM 91.9 has designs on evolving into a more vibrant and diverse multi-media collective, expanding our cultural and intellectual enrichment of the greater Santa Barbara area. Stay tuned for our next public presentation!
