I visited the Kwik Fill Truck Stop in Kylertown, Pennsylvania and learned far more than I was looking for. Besides having a full service fuel island they were the very first truck stop along I-80 when it opened in PA.

I spent the night at the brake check area in Bruceton Mills, WV. I was parked on the side and not in the designated brake check parking. I was amazed at how many drivers only even slow down going through the lot because they'll roll their truck if they don't. It only takes a minute to do a brake check. Watch this video. Way too many drivers are not taking the time. It should also be on your logs.

I had a close one at the scale in Ardmore, Tennessee Saturday morning. 2/5/22
I rolled up on a light that was green, but turned yellow. I was going to roll through it, but there were two locals in the left turn lane, so I had to stop quick.
I had axled the load at the customer before I left and had plenty of room to get fuel, but everything in the trailer crept up a little and threw my weights off. When the story picks up I'm two miles from the scales with nothing more than a pretty good idea that I might be close to over on my drives.

After stopping quickly at an intersection with a short caution light causes my load to shift slightly, I'm forced to face a potential weight issue and decide...
