The Mid Penn Conference honors teams in each season, in each sport, and in each division with Sportsmanship Awards, as voted on by the coaches. For this spring season, Chambersburg teams won Commonwealth Division sportmanship honors in four sports -- baseball, boys lacrosse, girls track & field and boys tennis. The traveling trophy that goes to the winner of the annual non-league duel between Chambersburg and Greencastle-Antrim in softball is called The Battle of the Bats and since both teams have potent lineups, that's what the game was expected to be.
