Let's talk about something that's been on my mind lately: the cult of busyness.

We've all been there - stuck in the cycle of constant activity, feeling like we need to be doing something every minute of every day. I see it in myself and in my community of fempreneurs who are always on the go! 🏃‍♀️

But here's the thing: busyness is not a badge of honor. 🏅

Because being busy doesn't necessarily mean we're being productive. In fact, constant busyness can lead to burnout, decreased motivation, and a lack of focus.

𝐒𝐨, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞? 🤔

Being BUSY implies a lot of activity and a full schedule. It's fueled by perfectionism, the need to be good at everything, and a fear of missing out.

Being BEING PRODUCTIVE on the other hand, means actively working towards achieving meaningful results and goals. It's fueled by purpose, focus, and a commitment to working smarter, not just harder.

𝐒𝐨, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲?

🧘‍♀️Take a step back, breathe, and focus on what's in front of you. Learn to say no, prioritize your tasks, and eliminate distractions.

🧐 Focus on being great at a few important things rather than trying to be good at everything. Delegate, outsource, or eliminate the rest.

"Kindness will be your success."

I keep seeing these words everywhere, and I have to say, they resonate deeply with me. Lately, I've been experiencing the profound impact of kindness in my own life.

When I choose to be kind, friendly, helpful, and do my best, amazing things happen. And here's the beautiful part: kindness always comes back to me, often when I least expect it.

The thing is, I don't do it for the expectation of reward or recognition. I do it simply because it feels right. And that's where the magic lies.

Kindness has a way of creating ripples of goodness that spread far and wide. So, let's all make a conscious effort to spread kindness wherever we go.

You never know the impact it could have on someone's day, or even their life.

Just last week, a family friend fell victim to an email scam😱.

She received an email claiming to be from a popular online retailer, offering a "limited-time discount" on a product she had been eyeing.

In her excitement, she clicked on the link and entered her personal details. LUCKILY her bank flagged the transaction as suspicious and alerted her to the potential scam!

This experience serves as a reminder to stay vigilant against email scams, especially during the festive season!📩

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬?

❌Sender's name and email address don't match: Verify the sender's identity.

❌Unusual Sender Domain: Scammers might use a domain that's similar to a legitimate one. Double-check the sender's domain to ensure it's authentic.

❌Suspicious links: Hover over links to check the URL. If it doesn't match the link's description, don't click!

❌Grammar and spelling mistakes: Legit companies usually have editorial staff.

❌Request for Personal Info: Legitimate companies will never ask for sensitive information like passwords or credit card numbers via email.

❌Sense of urgency: Be wary of emails that create a sense of urgency, like "Your account will be closed if you don't respond immediately."

❌Too-good-to-be-true offers: If it seems too good, it probably is!

Confession Time.

I've been MIA for the past two weeks (sorry, consistency police,👮‍♀️guilty as charged!). But I'm back, and I'm ready to share what's been going on behind the scenes.

I had a bit of a creative "malfunction". Not ideal for a Creative Social Media VA 😬. Imposter syndrome kicked my butt, and I found myself doubting and comparing to the point of stuckness.

It’s a crippling feeling that can hold anyone back from launching a new offer and growing their business.

Don’t scroll down my Insta feed too far or you might think I've had an identity crisis, but here's the thing: what you’re seeing is 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲, not the destination.

Over the past few years, I've navigated so many stages of growth, learning, and transformation. And, naturally, my work has evolved too.

When I'm working on designs for my amazing clients - whether it's social media graphics, marketing videos, newsletters, or e-brochures - consistency and branding integrity are top priority. I honour and protect their unique visual identity and messaging.

However, when it comes to my OWN branding ... well, that's where the "aesthetic mood swings" come in! I realized I was beating myself up over something that's actually a strength: my willingness to experiment, learn, and adapt.

On one hand, it's an exciting time, a time of gifting, and the perfect opportunity to:

On the other hand, let's be real... You want to take time off to spend with loved ones, recharge, and enjoy the festivities.

BUT you also want your business to shine online.🤦‍♀️

Not to worry, I've got some festive self-care tips to share:
