: Vasyl Lomachenko (21-3*) joins the
List of Boxing Champions who Won All 4 Major
Sanctioning Titles in the Same Weight Class. He
defeated George Kambosos, Jr. for the Vacant IBF
Title. His name would already be on the list had he
won a deserved decision vs Devin Haney.

[Loma held the WBA, WBC and WBO Lightweight
Titles prior to his Undisputed, Unification Bout with
IBF Titlist Teofimo Lopez. Lomachenko was stripped
of the WBC title prior to fighting Lopez. For this
reason Lopez does not make the list, having yet
to win a WBC Title at any weight.]

Other 4 Title Belt Holders and World Champs

During the Bareknuckle Era, John L. Sullivan
won the Heavyweight Championship of America,
Heavyweight Championship of the World, the
English Heavyweight Championship: and the
National Police Gazette Heavyweight Title: or
HCA/HCW/EHC/NPG Heavyweight Belts.

Joe Calzaghe won all 4 titles at Super
Middleweight (though he was stripped
of the IBF title prior to unifying the WBO,
WBA and WBC belts.

Bernard Hopkins won and held all 4 belts at
Middleweight, then claimed 3 of 4 at one
point in the Light Heavyweight division.

Jermain Taylor won all 4 Middleweight titles
(defeating Hopkins). [Had Taylor not been
stripped of his WBA and IBF titles- and Cory
Spinks had been awarded the proper verdict-
he would appear on the list. Spinks likewise
held 3 of 4 titles at Welterweight.]

Tyson Fury has won all 4 Heavyweight Titles,
in 2 different reigns as Undisputed Heavyweight
Champion. He claimed Wladimir Klitschko’s
WBA, IBF and WBO Belts; then vacated them.
He later beat Deontay Wilder for the WBC Title.
He failed to Unify all 4 vs Oleksandr Usyk.

Josh Taylor unified all 4 Junior Welterweight titles.
Many believe Jack Catterall defeated Taylor: but
lost the official decision for the WBA, WBC, IBF
and WBO Titles at 140 lbs.

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez won 3 of 4 at Middleweight:
and now holds all 4 at Super Middleweight. He
will likely be stripped of multiple titles.

Bud Crawford was the first male fighter to win
All 4 Major Sanctioning Body Titles in 2 Different
Weight Classes (won all 4 at Junior Welterweight:
and Welterweight). Inoue and Usyk have since
joined him this tremendous accomplishment.

Naoya Inoue (26-0) became the 2nd professional
fighter to win ‘Universal, Undisputed, Unified’ World
Championships in 2 different weight classes. The
Monster won all 4 at Bantamweight: and now in the
Jr. Featherweight division. Inoue is also 20-0 All

All Time in World Title Bouts.

Oleksandr Usyk won all 4 at Cruiserweight: and now
holds all 4 at Heavyweight, having defeated Tyson
Fury (WBC) and Anthony Joshua (WBA, IBF, WBO).

Jermell Charlo (the 4-Belt Junior Middleweight
Champion) failed versus Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez
(the 4-Belt Super Middleweight Champion) in
boxing’s 1st ever Dual Universal Championship
Bout. Only Alvarez’s titles were on the line.

Devin Haney unified all 4 Lightweight titles
(in a controversial decision that should have
resulted in Vasyl Lomachenko joining the list).

Robert Guerrero won the IBF Featherweight
and Junior Lightweight titles; as well as the
WBA, WBO Interim Lightweight titles: and
the WBC Interim Welterweight title.

Riddick Bowe won 3 of the 4 Heavyweight
Belts against Evander Holyfield, then later
claimed the WBO belt (again beating Holy).

Ricardo Lopez won the WBC, WBO and
WBA Minimumweight titles, than later
won the IBF Junior Flyweight title.

Oscar de la Hoya won the WBO Junior
Lightweight, Lightweight and Middleweight
titles; the IBF Lightweight title (also should
have won Welterweight vs Trinidad); the
WBC Junior Welterweight, Welterweight
and Junior Middleweight titles: and the
WBA Junior Middleweight title.

Winky Wright won the WBO Junior Middleweight
title, then lost it. He would later claim the IBF
title, and unify the WBA and WBC belts as well.

Zab Judah won the IBF Junior Welterweight title.
Though he failed in a WBA/WBC/IBF Unification
bout against Kostya Tszyu, he later claimed the
WBO title, and then won the WBA, WBC and IBF
Welterweight titles from Cory Spinks.

Manny Pacquiao won the WBC Flyweight, Junior Lightweight, Lightweight and Junior Middleweight
titles. He also won the WBA Welterweight and Jr. Middleweight titles; IBF Jr. Featherweight title:
and the WBO Welterweight title.

Juan Manual Marquez won the IBF Featherweight
title, WBA Featherweight and Lightweight titles;
the WBO Interim Featherweight, Lightweight and
Interim Junior Welterweight titles, plus the WBC
Junior Lightweight title.

Miguel Cotto won the WBO Junior Welterweight and Welterweight titles; WBA Welterweight and Junior
Middleweight titles; the WBC Middleweight title:
and then later the WBO Junior Middleweight title.

Nonito Donaire won the IBF Flyweight and Junior Featherweight titles; then the Interim WBA Junior Bantamweight title; the WBC, WBA and WBO
Bantamweight titles; the IBF and WBO Junior Featherweight title: and WBA Featherweight title.

Andre Ward won the WBA and WBC Super
Middleweight titles: and the WBA, IBF and WBO
Light Heavyweight titles vs. Sergey Kovalev (in
a bogus decision and not called DQ bout).

Katsunari Takayama won the WBC Minimumweight,
WBA Interim, IBF: and WBO Minimumweight titles.

Naseem Hamed held the WBO, WBC, and IBF
Featherweight titles. He would have won the WBA
belt, but Wilfredo Vazquez, Sr. was stripped before
their unification bout.

Evander Holyfield won all 3 belts at Cruiserweight
(prior to the WBO): and 3 of the 4 at Heavyweight.
He failed to claim the WBO Heavyweight title vs.
Riddick Bowe in their 3rd trilogy bout.

Marvin Hagler (Middleweight), Pernell Whitaker
(Lightweight), Roy Jones, Jr. (Light Heavyweight),
O’Neill Bell (Cruiserweight): and Gennady Golovkin
(Middleweight(l) all held WBA, WBC and IBF Belts
simultaneously. Only Golovkin fought for a WBO
Title at Super Middleweight, when he dropped
a decision vs Canelo Alvarez (for all 4 belts).

Dariusz Michalczewski and Wladimir Klitschko both
held 3 Belts (WBA, IBF, WBO) at Light Heavyweight
and Heavyweight. David Haye held the WBA, WBC
and WBO Cruiserweight titles.

[Floyd Mayweather, Jr. technically never won or held
all 3 belts in the same weight class. Mayweather requested the WBO belt that had not been on the
line vs Pacquiao: but then was ‘stripped’ 3 days later
for failing to pay a full sanctioning fee. Therefore
he is excluded from the list.]

Note: both women to pull off the feat are not
included on the list due to sanctioning bodies
creating titles and instantly merging them in
non-unification bouts.

[Claressa Shields won all 4 Titles in the Jr.
Middleweight and Middleweight divisions.

Katie Taylor unified all 4 Lightweight titles:
and won all 4 Junior Welterweight titles.

Chantelle Cameron and Jessica McCaskill won
all 4 titles in the Junior Welterweight and the
Welterweight divisions respectively.

Both only won all 4 titles in 1 weight class,
as did Cecilia Brækhus at Welterweight.

Franchón Crews-Dezurn unified all 4
Super Middleweight titles. Amanda Serrano
unified all 4 Featherweight titles.

Alycia Baumgardner unified all 4 Junior
Lightweight titles. Savannah Marshall won
all 4 Super Middleweight titles (defeating
the aforementioned Crews-Dezurn).]

: Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) clearly defeats
Tyson Fury (34-1-1) by 12 Round (Not) Split Decision
to become boxing’s 1st Ever 4-Belt, , ,
, Universal, Undisputed and also Unified
Heavyweight Champion of the World. Offical scores
were 115-112 Usyk; 114-113 Fury: and 114-113 Usyk.

Boxing Press had it 115-111 for Usyk, giving him a
10-7 round in the 9th. Fury fell into the ropes and
was only officially docked one knockdown, when
it was literally 2-3. Massive round for Usyk. The
former 4-Belt Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion
joins Terrence Crawford and Naoya Inoue as the
only fighters to win all 4 major sanctioning body
titles in 2 different weight classes.

Prior to Oleksandr Usyk, only Riddick Bowe and
Tyson Fury had won all 4 Heavyweight titles. It
has been repeatedly misreported that Usyk now
joins Lennox Lewis as the 1st Undisputed World
Heavyweight Champion since 1999. Lewis not
only didn’t win all 4 belts, he was stripped of:
and vacated all 3 of his belts. Both Waldimir
Klitschko and Anthony Joshua (in addition to
Fury and Usyk) were all likewise Undisputed.

With the IBO belt, only Fury and Usyk have won
all 5. The closest to pull off the feat in the Bare
Knuckle or London Prize Ring Rules Era, plus
The Marquis of Queensberry Rules, was John
L. Sullivan who won and held the American,
Btitish Commonwealth; English: and National
Police Gazette Heavyweight Championships.

the 2nd professional fighter to win ‘Universal,

Bantamweight): and now in the Jr. Featherweight
division. Inoue KO’s Marlon Tapales (37-4)
in the 10th round, to improve to 19-0 All

Congratulations to ‘The Monster’ on smashing
yet another bonafide champion: and shattering
the All Time Greats Record Book!

: Terrence ‘Bud’ Crawford (40-0)
becomes the 1st fighter in boxing history to
legitimately win All 4 Major Sanctioning Body
Titles in 2 Separate Weight Classes, with a
9th Round TKO of Former Undefeated Champ
Errol Spence, Jr. (28-1).

Crawford dropped Spence 3 times, with a jab
in the 2nd: and a power up jab plus right hook
in the 7th Round.

The Super Fight between 2 P4P Undefeated
Champions was decidedly one-sided, with
Spence only winning the 1st round.

[Eerily reminiscent of a marquee Beat Down
in Fight Town between Roy Jones, Jr. and
Felix Trinidad. This Welterweight Showdown
also mirrored Donald Curry vs Milton McCrory
more than Ray Leonard vs Thomas Hearns.]

But I digress.

Crawford becomes Boxing’s 1st 2-Weight
Universal, Undisputed, Unified World Boxing
Champion, having done so in August 2017
at Junior Welterweight (140 lbs): and now
at Welterweight (147) in September 2023.

[Note: Women’s Titlist Claressa Shields is
Omitted from List, as , ,

Title in Light/Junior Middleweight (while
Shields was Middleweight Champion):
WBA and IBF Inaugural Titles at Middleweight

Naoya Inoue will seek to do the same thing
later this year, aftering conquering all 4
Champions at Bantamweight: and now
also holding 2 of 4 at Junior Featherweight.

Shoutout to Naoya Inoue. He has a shot to be a
Double ‘Universal, Undisputed, Unified’ World
Champion. (Held 4 Belts @ Bantamweight. Now
has 2 @ Junior Featherweight. Possibly all 4
later on the line in 2023 vs Marlon Tapales).

Only 4 professional fighters have bested him
in this exclusive category:

Oleksandr Usyk won all 4 at Cruiserweight:
and now holds 3 of 4 at Heavyweight. [Tyson
Fury won’t fight him for the WBC version.]

Evander Holyfield won (then) all 3 belts at
Cruiserweight: and 3 of the 4 at Heavyweight.

Bernard Hopkins won and held all 4 belts at
Middleweight, then claimed 3 of 4 at one
point in the Light Heavyweight division.

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez won 3 of 4 at Middleweight:
and now holds all 4 at Super Middleweight.

Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Roberto
Duran, Pernell Whitaker, Oscar de la Hoya,
Roy Jones, Jr., Shane Mosley, Manny Pacquiao,
Floyd Mayweather, Jr… None pulled off the feat.

We are talking All Time Great Accolades and
Accomplishments now.

Bud Crawford is going for the list Saturday,
having won all 4 at Junior Welterweight: and
now all 4 at Welterweight on the line Saturday
vs Errol Spence, Jr.

Jermell Charlo (the 4-Belt Junior Middleweight
Champion) will also be fighting Canelo Alvarez
(the 4-Belt Super Middleweight Champion on
Sept. 30). Exciting times in boxing!

I tip my hat to The Monster. A Virtuoso
Performance. Consummate Professional.

: Tyson Fury (31-0-1) retained his
World Heavyweight Title with an 11th Round
KO of Deontay Wilder (42-2-1). Wilder scored 2
knockdowns. Fury had 3 knockdowns, including
the No Count Knockout. Trilogy counts end up
being 4 Wilder Knockdowns: and 5 for Fury. The
official scores at the time of the stoppage were
95-91 twice: and 94-92, all for Tyson Fury.
