Film production company Marcotte Brothers Productions is an independent film production company begun by Nick and Trevor Marcotte in October 2011.
To date, they have released a Western short titled "The Weight," as well as two music videos for Seattle band Blackheart Honeymoon. Marcotte Brothers Productions also works in association with other production companies to bring independent film projects to fruition.
Paris Jaramillo & Tay Hernandez, Costume Design: This dynamic duo worked together to bring just the right 80s-ness to our characters — giving each a distinct look that’s true to their personality and time period. Paris & Tay took time to understand the characters of “Sunset” in detail and even created moodboards for each. We’re stoked with the final result and seeing these characters walk off the page. ANNOUNCEMENT: “A Scene from Sunset” has been accepted into the Albuquerque Film & Music Experience festival! This will be our first public screening, taking place at The Historic Lobo Theater — a dream come true for us. A Q&A with the Marcotte Brothers and DP Delaney Moghanian will follow. The short is done! Announcing “A Scene from Sunset” — a proof of concept for our upcoming feature film. Shanna Thibodeaux, HMU & Prosthetics: Shanna brought the horror to our horror movie — her thumbprint is everywhere in “Sunset.” One of our biggest concerns was having frightening and convincing vampires. Those concerns were laid to rest with Shanna’s exceptional work. Her artistry exceeded our vision, giving each vampire a unique and terrifying appearance. She creates any setting with authenticity — sourcing props, dressing sets, and more — all with exacting detail and an amazing attitude. Eddie Lamb, Sound Mixer & Boom Operator: Eddie is a sought-after sound mixer with many credits to his name (including “Ruthless,” a #1 on Hulu recently). Referred to us by Felicia of , he captured the sound and dialogue of “Sunset” impeccably — and was the perfect balance of funny, positive and professional on set. Dario Vitolo, Gaffer: Dario is a consummate professional and wizard of light. His tasteful approach to the 80s palette of “Sunset” elevated our production to the next level. From a single bulb in an attic, to creating full exterior moonlight, he deftly captured the tone. He also effectively mentored a new PA while still getting the job done. Nazneen is a powerful force for good in our film scene. She champions the work of others and is an accomplished actor and producer. She’s written for New Mexico Film News and hosted the radio show Cinema Scope — where she’s interviewed independent filmmakers and a variety of other entertainment professionals. Her impressive resume extends even further as she holds a law degree from the University of Westminster (to name only a few of her far-reaching accomplishments).

SUNSET is a coming-of-age horror/comedy film. It’s about the dangers we face in growing up—and experiencing both tragedy and true love for the first time. It’s a love letter to 80s vampire films (think “The Lost Boys” and “Fright Night”), with a focus on characters and relationships. And of course, there will be blood.
