So! Long story short, making this primarily an archive page for now while we continue on with new ventures.

We have SO much content just from the last two decades, time to just put that all in one spot.

Today is kind of an anniversary of sorts. My first day with Fun Publications was 4/1/2008. I was there until Summer of 2016. Though I helped in various capacities dating back to 2005, ran BotCon 2004 with Jon & Karl Hartman, I worked for 8 years as a full time employee for the former Hasbro licensee. Crazy to think it has been another 8 years since that all ended! So much has happened, new partnerships and ventures, new exclusives, and yet the winds have shifted once again. Totally looking forward to the next 8 years (and more) working with my collab partner of 18 years, Jesse Wittenrich.

SO, with that, and since the number of the day seems to be 8, lets take a look back and a variety of images and content from the year 2008. BotCon Shattered Glass was the theme, awesome guests, a trip to SDCC to promote the Convention and the Official Transformers Collectors' Club, and other various tidbits.

Will do an update like this every Monday with a glimpse at each year between 2008-2023. I'll try and dig up some cool behind the scenes content and other great non-edited images. Questions, drop any that you might have in the comments.

NEVER BEFORE SEEN concepts for the series Transformers: Prime! (August 2009 WIP - Not Final)

It’s been 13 years since Transformers Prime debuted. For better or worse, this franchise was the series intent on transitioning the characters from the big screen to the small.

Like many media projects, the initial idea is often somewhat to quite different than what is finally seen on the screen.

So, with that seems now is the perfect time to show off a little something we have been holding on to for the last 14 years - The original official working pdf pitch for what would eventually be known as Transformers: Prime. The series had a working title of ‘Robots in Disguise’ and as you will see, the design and character selection was initially much more aligned with the live action movies.

So take a look! We are showing off around 20 pages of the pdf here. Some amazing never before seen looks at the Prime series!

Hello all Pete’s RoboCon fans! For any of you wondering, it is still us! As we discussed at the convention this year, RoboCon 2021 was the final show for a few reasons. The main one being that it was time for us to focus on other aspects of our business and to work on some new exciting opportunities.

So! Night Shining has always been the company behind RoboCon, and now we have rebranded the page so we can talk about all we do with even more content which will focus on our partnered brands as well as our past professional relationship with the Transformers and the former Official Transformers Collectors’ Club. Also, in case you haven’t heard yet, BotCon will be returning next year and we are thrilled to offer some great new BotCon product you can order through our store. This includes the first official BotCon exclusive in 5 years, the Action Force Wasp Raider. This figure is due to ship early November.

RoboCon 2021 is in the books! This also will be the FINAL RoboCon. As we announced at the show, we are shifting all of our focus to IP development along with product and brand promotion for existing and NEW partners we are working with. This will allow us to create some pretty cool stuff, but for us to do that we need to bring the Convention hosting aspect of our business to a close. Great first day at RoboCon 2021! Custom class, Robo bingo, the BotCon panel, and the Exhibitor Room Preview.

For Saturday events, we will have the custom workshop, panels, a fun dart game with prizes, and thousands of transforming robots for sale in our exhibitor room with some really great vendors! General admission on Saturday is only $10 for adults, along with a buy one get one FREE. Kids 12 and under are also FREE. The show is located on the second floor in the west tower of the Galt House in Louisville Kentucky.

attendees, our event rooms for today are the Azalea, Jasmine, and Daisy/Sunflower. These are located in the West Tower on the 2nd floor.

Follow the signs by the escalators, and look for the blue Azalea sign at the end of the hall (across from the hotel barber shop)!

If your room is in the East Tower, you can cross the skywalk bridge/lounge on the third floor and not have to go to street level.
