🌟 Tansi friends & fellow entrepreneurs!

I'm finally back after a little unexpected detour on this wild rollercoaster called life. Let's talk about my disappearing act, shall we? 🎢

What was supposed to be a routine fertility procedure took a sharp left turn and landed me in the hospital fighting off a rapidly changing infection. Talk about plot twists, right? 😅 But hey, I'm a warrior, and I fought that infection like a champ!

During my time at home, I've been channeling my inner hustle and working on some small side projects. It's been my way of keeping sane and staying creative while I couldn't pour all my energy into my business. And speaking of business, I really need your support now more than ever.

A while back, my husband and I started our own little Etsy shop. Every sale from our little shop makes a big difference right now. With my inability to work full-time, that extra income goes straight to putting food on my family's table. It's crazy how the universe throws curveballs, but I believe in finding the silver linings and pushing through the tough times.

This day holds incredible significance in our journey towards healing and unity. It's a time to acknowledge and address the painful history of colonization and systemic discrimination that continues to impact Indigenous communities today. But don't fret, because as allies, you have the power to make a difference! 💪🏽❤️

So, what can you do? Here are three actionable steps you can take to contribute to the reconciliation process:

Action 1: Educate Yourself



Knowledge is power, my friends! Take the time to educate yourself about the history and experiences of Indigenous peoples. There are countless resources available: books, documentaries, podcasts, and more. By understanding and appreciating their culture, struggles, and triumphs, we can show up as better allies.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD INSTAGRAM BIO?...

A good Instagram bio can mean the difference between a visitor hitting that Follow button or leaving your page. 😭

And with only 150 characters to convince your visitors you're worth the Follow, you gotta spice that puppy up 🌶️

Here are 8 ways you can spice up your IG bio to attract more followers:
🌶️ Share your story - think of your bio as being a 150 character sales pitch. make it short & sweet, but speak directly to your audience!

🌶️ Include targeted keywords in the Name Field - did you know the name field in your IG bio is completely separate from your username?! So lather up some SEO in that h*e!

🌶️ Use a link in bio tool 🔗 - for example linktree! use this to make it easier to direct followers to specific web pages referenced in your linktree.

🌶️ Add a call-to-action or action button - to add an action button simply go to your business profile - edit profile - contact options - select the call-to-action or your choice!

🌶️ Include contact info in your bio - don't make your followers or new visitors take additional steps to contact you! make your profile the one-stop-shop you know it is!

🌶️ Choose a relevant profile picture - THIS IS KEY when it comes to social branding. You want people to recognize your brand and remember it no matter where they are looking for you (including online)

🧡 For giving our ancestors the teachings they continue to pass down to the descendants; those stories and teachings are the foundation of how I aspire to operate my business.

🧡 For the opportunity to learn from the land and the natural world around us. Reconnecting with nature is such a vital part of working in a digital space.

Thank you Creator, for the many simple blessings we experience in our everyday life that we take for granted - like the sunrise and fresh morning air when we start our work day.

Because I said so....

I have to constantly remind myself that:

🔥 I am capable
🔥 I am a quick study
🔥 I am a natural entrepreneur
🔥 I am an authority in my industry

These things don't typically just come in a bowl of lucky charms (though I wish they did).

But it truly takes work, it takes being a self starter, it takes trust in yourself AND your clients.

But working for myself has been the most gratifying lesson in my adult life because I showed myself that I am capable of ALL these things!

Here's a tip for you - along the journey there will be mistakes that happen. Maybe there will be glitches in the online world we live in, maybe there will be comments we don't respond to well. But just know that you learn from those things and you build a stronger foundation for your business from those lessons learned!

Make waves in your own life! 🌊

Change is always a bit scary, starting new routines is always a challenge, and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone takes a curious spirit and a will to explore - even if it freaks you right the f*** out.

In business I have learned that some of the greatest accomplishments achieved have been just just saying "yes" and going for it. Giving it 150% and learning as you go.

Social media marketing takes trial and error. It takes patience with a dash of wanting to throw your phone at the wall sometimes.

But the reward of making new connections, meeting a new local business owner, or even closing a huge deal from a client who loved what you did on social media all really comes back to your willingness to TRY SOMETHING NEW.

Remember, success doesn't always come first try - and if you take the time to learn your insights, test different things, ans stay genuinely true to your brand... You will MAKE WAVES

I'm headed to Gathering of Nations! I’ll be at the Gathering of Nations Pow Wow in Albuquerque, New Mexico from April 27-29.

The Gathering of Nations Pow Wow is one of the largest Native American celebrations in the world, and this year's event will be no different! There will be thousands of dancers from all over North America competing for prizes; singers and drummers sharing their talents; beautiful regalia on display; and so much more.
