They say a time piece does not just tell time , it holds memories. I remember this shot like it was yesterday. We were waiting for our order 🍔 and I said, “hey Dad do this”, I took the shot and showed it to him and got his nod of approval. Little did I know 6 months later he’d go home to be with the Lord. I thank God everyday that He gave me an amazing Dad. Every now and then , I’d recall his advice from important life lessons to simple things like “stand up straight “ and “always wear Levi’s jeans” 😅. In high school, he got called into the Principal’s office because I got into a fight where I punched a girl in the eye out of self defense. He told me that next time I should punch in the body and not the eye so it doesn’t look so bad 😅. But later on, he simply said, “I’m proud of what you did, you stood your ground, you defended yourself and your sister. I’m glad I didn’t raise a sissy daughter.” He then held out his hands and told me to throw punches and “show him what I got” 😅

I love you Dad and I miss you everyday. Thank you for the memories, I hold them dearly in my heart. Until we meet in heaven again someday.
